Mercedes SLR is the most beautiful Mercedes car and of one the most beautiful in car history, this edition completely ruined the SLR family.

There is a windscreen, are you blind?

no doubt stirling moss will be wearing his old cork helmet and airforce goggles to protect himself. like in the olden days.

I thought the SLR had rather easy and neutral looks with not taking any risks.... and that's the final thing you wanna see from a car with this caliber. SLR was/is the "sensible" supercar with automatic, not needing maintance after every trip and actually some space for more than pouche, all this in a good and a bad way.

This in other hand looks proper SLR, but as far as i know it will be just limited edition with selected buyers of 75 and will be announced in Detroit(from autoblog if i remember right).

After checking those autoblog articles again those are real pics of it as this was announced in 18.12. First time it will be shown live will be Detroits autoshow. SLR Stirling Moss will be sold for 750 000Ђ and only 75 will be sold.

No insult was intended, Sir Stirling Moss did use to wear a cork helmet and airforce (style) goggles
see
There is definitely a windshield there, slap between the red covering of the seat and the wing mirror, about half the height of the wing mirror.

Have a look here

Now do you see it?

And there is a similar one (albeit smaller) in front of the left hand (Drivers) side on top of the small bump in the body work.....

well, I for my self like it a lot. not saying that it is better or not in comparison with this:

but IMO is a true dream car.

Why is it a hybrid SLR?
This is a proper SLR in every way.

I like the Brabus SLR that Data. posted way more then the one at the top!

I heard somerthing about a special AMG Gullwing car that would not have a Mercedes-Benz version, I like the sound of that!

So I assumed that was your design....I was tryin to say it has combination both from old look with newer aspect. Nothin worse from me. And I may not like a particular part regardless it is "proper" in every way, cuz that is my opinion.
Why so serious?
Chill out.
