Hi all,
Actually even the X1 doesn't really count as it's 30fps VGA is 3gp it's only 15fps VGA in H.264. So still in mid 2008 SE don't offer 30fps VGA H.264 recording only in 3gp. Marc |

Features are nice but it looks but ugly. Then again when is the last time SE made a good looking phone that also had good specs. After their fiasco with the K850 and now even the 902 I dont see why this is going to be any different. The sensor looks small again. At least they have a proper lens cover this time. |

Now that is a cool leak, and like Eldar said look more a camera than a phone.
I have asked for it some posts ago about the official presentation in 17, and this is a more than enough answer Any way I like it as design and feature also. Wifi is a cool thing to have in a non smart phone but seems to me that dumb phones are becoming smart day by day . Now this would be super cool if optics will be ok. If image is great, than this is a super phone by SE. Also seems to me that the bad performance of K850 (especially compared to n82) has destroyed the interest in upcoming Cybershot flagship from SE. But I think there is again hope. All depends on how this will perform in photo. Some measurements are taken (to be a good flagship), WiFi, Gps, a nice form factor (not the traditional candy bar). Now remain to see a photo captured with this. |

It looks like a W910i which just went to Burger King, gaining pounds and exciting features...

Actually I hope for no optical zoom, or at least an option to turn it off.
![]() Optical Zoom in phones doesn't mean much, as the zoom is used, the phone will have to shot with smaller aperatures, and that'll for sure cause more noise owing to the higher ISO levels that will have to be used. Like the N93's or so. As long as the optics quality doesn't improve that much or at least the senosr size (afaik they use 1/3.5 ones) optical zoom is not a that big deal, imho Ronka, Why you do that? To kill people from anger, huh? |

When it comes to conmsumer product it always about marketing, 3X optical zoom is a good selling point. Average people do not have a clue on the difference between OZ and without OZ. Even if we take into account of picture quality, SO905i is definite better than K850. It a Sony sensor inside. |

looks better in black, but the screen is a tad small for a slider, no 3.5mm jack (why) and any word on the video capture capabilities (vga 30fps?). but looks better in vlack and cleaned up. love the fact that once again (and unlike nokia) they have both xenon and led flash.

mmm.... finally, SE with a QVGA screen, AGPS, and TV-out.
Funny... (coz back when SE didnt have this) I remember most SE fans saying that this kind of features are crap and are not needed anyway, hehehe I wonder if they'll shy away now from this phone? ![]() cheers! |

I am in the opinion that we have to keep moving with technology. If any phone company introduces a new thing i will gladly accept it.Its not good to say 5mp is enough just because that was the highest by SE or any brand.

The black one looks nice in the press shots (the proto live-shots looked really unrefined). Good to see that SE apparently learned a lesson from the weird K850 design and went back to a clean, good-looking simple design without unnecessary usability experiments.
Now let's wait and see if the 8MPx bring an actual advantage in image detail or just more pixels with the same quality as a 5MPx cam... |

Overall ergonomics looks really ok. The D-pad is huge. The 2 camera buttons on the top of the phone are back !! I missed them so much !

Did anyone notice the call and end keys and how the power button is on the end key. Also where is the 3g cam.I only see two buttons, a speaker grill and a small hole on the top of the device. I dont think the hole can be the 3g camera.

I dare to say that the video recording will be the best on any phone to date. an 8mpx lens record video @ VGA resolution would be the best than any cameraphone i the next 12 month and beyond. Video-out is bless from god, there's nothing more exciting than showing your 8mpix photos on your HD-Ready set! Really well though of SE. scratch-resistant mineral glass TFT wow, this is why i luv sony, the same tech thy use on their blu-ray disc, scratch resistant. This is a good for the SE fans and mobilephone lovers, SE is going to use resourse from Sony again like in the past. 2008/2009 is SE's year |

well finally something interesting from SE, long wait imo.
Let's see how the cam really is, it should be an real upgrade from K850i imo, but lately SE haven't impressed anyone, oh sorry Ronka, but you that is. ![]() It looks a bit, like Dunga said, a W910 with a fat suite on, the black looks decent though. I guess, it's between this device and the C902 W branded brother. But if it has the same dumb 2" screen i'm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

With that said, the phone does look pretty impressive, I really hope that they can back the 8mpix with quality comparable to the K800 things. |

I think that DLNA compatibility is a very cool feature, I certianly wish my phone had it, even if I wouldn't get as much use out of it as some
