Samsung leaked 12 new devices today.... some which we've seen earlier and some we haven't seen earlier. We made photos of them and some will also appear in an expanded preview any time soon....
Enjoy! The article with all the devices.... not all are on photo at the IFA, but we do have the full specs and press photos: http://www.gsmhelpdesk.nl/en/read.php?id=3148&ch=1 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Mobile Phone Helpdesk; 30-08-2008 at 13:38.. |

Samsung is working on a touchscreen S60 device.
http://asia.cnet.com/crave/2008/08/2...one-next-year/ While I don't think this is a big surprise to anybody here, it's still nice to hear some official confirmation. |

good, we imagined that, that future high-end camera-phone will have xenon flash. Can you tell us more about it? G900? Is a slider? Last edited by Chtinois; 18-09-2008 at 15:36.. |

hey guys
New Samsung M3200 a.k.a. Beat s ![]() ![]() ![]() The Samsung M3200 Beat s sports a number of music-oriented features beside the already mentioned dedicated music keys. It's got stereo loudspeakers, a Bang&Olufsen ICEpower audio chip, a 3.5mm audio jack, stereo Bluetooth, FM radio with RDS and audio recording, and finally a music player Shake control thanks to the built-in acccelerometer. Samsung's alternative to Shake control is called Motion Play. It's a unique feature for the Samsung portfolio and a similar control has been implemented only in several Sony Ericsson Walkman phones. It allows you to play or pause music with a tap on the phone, mute the music by turning the phone face down, or change tracks by shaking it. The Samsung M3200 Beat s also boasts Samsung's latest DNSe technology (Digital Natural Sound engine). According to the manufacturer it should provide more natural sound effects, overcoming the limitations of sound from earphones and small speakers in portable devices. Handsets with DNSe technology should be able to reproduce a genuine 3D sound and deep bass resonance. |

HOLY!! Samsung is prepping out 3 beasts in a 6-month period which Nokia can barely possibly bring 3 beast phones in >2 years of time!!
btw, is this a feature phone? What's the resolution? edit: seeing that it's said to have news, weather forecasts updating constantly on the home screen, I think its a smartphone. Either WinMob or *starts dreaming* Google Android *stops dreaming*. Oh, and touchscreen like the one in iPhone? Sweet. Last edited by 5pteron; 19-09-2008 at 01:53.. |

I see GSMArena has picked up this story as well. Unfortunately it offers no more info. I wonder what the OS is going to be, this must be the Samsung with the Xenon flash.

Only 6 days left... That`s reasonable.
Seems like an very interesting device, especially because it has M index which could mean its an ultimate music flagship. + the extremely good camera- we have a winner. |

I'm very intrigued by this M8800. The fact they're already reporting triband HSDPA is a big plus. It'll be interesting to see if that holds true.
I was left feeling underwhelmed by the LG Renoir, but if this Samsung uses the same matrix as the Innov8, it could be a real winner for me. |

Make of this article what you will about the M8800.
Not sure if it's just my browser but that Phones 4U page is now just a 404 error or takes you to the main page. |

Very impressive specs.
15.5 mm thickness kinda bugs me, but its still relatively compact. But still, if I consider it is smaller than n96 (which is 103Ч55), that means that this phone is a successor of extremely compact f480. |

I found a site that copied and pasted the text from the Phone4U page before it was taken offline.
Sounds like if the M8800 does even half of what these people hype it to do, we're all in for a treat. Quote:

wow, well if it has a 16mil colour display then it isn't windows mobile (65k colour max). as mentioned above no mention of wi-fi, but cant imagine that or xenon being left out. also wonder about presence of 3.5mm jack and mulit gb flash drive (8/16).

In Korea, there's the Haptic II to be announced very soon. It has very similar look with Omnia (actually dumbed-down Omnia). It's the same WQVGA as its predecessor Haptic I and it will feature 5mp camera. And lastly it's just a feature phone. I think your friend was talking about this phone.

2) MR said "I do not see the INNOV8 as the main competitor of the Renoir.... The "other" Samsung 8.0 megapixel is much more a competitor relating price and specs. It is more focused to imaging." Bresson is more focused to imaging than INNOV8... Personnally I hope Bresson will be an Imaging flagship... |

Sorry I misunderstood your post, you ment that even though it's a multimedia phone it is more focused on imaging more than the other multimedia feature right?

A common theme I'm seeing with all the previews (granted, all the info is ripped from a single source) is how the overall multimedia experience is being overhauled and improved with the M8800--so while the phone may be skewed toward the camera, it will still offer a rich multimedia experience.

The only real data so far is from Phones4U, except that the model number M8800 can be confirmed by Googling. So everything else is just based on speculation and a close analysis of the Phones4U text.
The screen resolution is interesting.. Phones4U say that it is "full HDTV" which means a resolution of at least 750 x 480 pixels. In practical terms, that would be an 800 x 480 pixel WVGA display.. but one that's much smaller than other WVGA displays out there. Yes, it's more likely to be a WQVGA display As for looks.. well, it will probably we a black slablike thing with a prominent camera on the back. Not hard to guess! |
