kII, I think adding only UMTS would be stupid (with both indirect competitors - N95 and k850 [and later on N82, Lg 5MP Prada] - supporting HSDPA) .. matter of fact leaving UMTS out of the g600 seems to be sutupid already (I can only suppose that the high demand for u600 shows that many can still live with EDGE).

i agree with everything you have said, i imagine that the main motivator was to keep costs low, bu with that aside it loks to be better speced than for iinstance, the k850 (vga video recording). but really disapointed with the lack of 3.5mm jack.

I personally dont think that G600 will have better camera than N95 or K850... from what i know, last time when Samsung had a better camera phone was when Nokia released 6230i and Samsung D500...
Since then, they never had a better camera phone than Nokia or SE!

diaboleek, well, imho the u700's sample pics are worse than that taken by the d900 back then, so stating that the new 5MP Samsung cameras will better than the Nokia's or SE's cameras is too early to say the least. We'll have to see the actual photos taken by the f700 and g600 against the latest-fw N95 (unlike in the k850 cam review by Eldar), k850 (and N82).

so when is the g800 going to be announced, i imagine if it is to pair with the g600 as the u700 to the u600, that it can't be too far away. also apart from the expected (hoped for) umts/hsdpa, what other improvements can we look for. to me if it is to compete with the n82, k850, ku990(lg), then it should have vga video, stereo speakers, 3.5mm jack and maby xenon flash, though unlikely.

g600 isn`t a perfect phone: no 3g (also, no hspda), no wi-fi, no 3.5 mm jack, screen is too small for a hi-hi-tech phone (2.4˝is a minimum).

If you look closely to the lens you will see that the focal length varies from 5.8 to 17.4 mm and that means that it has 3x optical zoom or I am dreaming
