I recall a nokia ad that claims its handsets use human ergonomics where sharp edges and corners are a no-no. That design looks nice with its large screen but the sharp corners can be deadly.

Cause 4 stands for death in Asian mythology.

Just call it N75. But btw nice design even though a lil' bit too big.

I wonder why a Finnish company would put so much faith in Asian mythology

Cause the Asian market is huge and therefor SE does not have an 4-variant in their portfolio.
I have just heard that sometime in another forum, it's not my idea.

Edit: It's not mythology it's superstition, my fault.

Come to think of it, other than the model mentioned above and the 6340, there's no other Nokia phone with a "4" in it, are there others?

Found this on wiki

The number 4 (in China, the word's pronunciation in Mandarin and Cantonese is similar to "si", which means death. A similar belief is present in Japan and Korea.)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luck

So that means 4 does not exactly mean 'death' but only sounds like 'death' to them.

Seth You can't call it N75. There's already existing Nokia phone with that name. http://forum.nokia.com/devices/N75

Well if its going to be a huge success, they can start by putting some man sized keypads! N73 buttons are TINY!

Honestly, if the design is like that you have killed Nokia.
And it will not be N74. N78 is a more plausible name
Don't forget that it has to have 5 megapixels to succeed the N73

I like this phone!

I mean it's a smartphone AND you don't need a third party application to kill someone with it

Guess this thread was created to think bout how will be the N73's successor, not bout 4 or skylab's "stupid" fotoshop deeds.
The edges are way too sharp, I am afraid if it cuts my fingers out lol,
the screen is kewl,
the buttons-nothin is new, everything is done, nokia will think better design of keypad than this.
I read somewhere in this website once nokia main said N7X is created for mass while n9x is more specific purposes.
If so then N7X [successor of N73] or whatever will have a bit more development than an N73.
