So can anyone comment on how the phone is like in terms of usability? Does the slider seem slick or slack? How are the keys like? Whats the battery life going to be? Will we see a slimmer N80 with the same battery life? Also, would anyone know what type of camera it is like?

It has some additions in terms of software , like the text to speech app the 5500 has . The slider doesn't have any kind of problem , it is firm and steady . The keypad could be a little more responsive , but this is something that could change by the phone reaches the production stage . The softkeys on the upper part could be a little "bigger" and have some distance betwwen them . Once again at least their "feeling" can change . The battery is different , almost the same with the one used in N93 etc . Life time is certainly longer than N80's and can easilly last for at least 2 days even at this phase of a prototype . The camera is an ordinary 2mpix camera without auto-focus of flash . It is almoste the same with the one used in N70 , 6280 etc . To tell the truth i didn't bother using it at all ... ![]() Quote:
Yes it does have the fake leather "effect" on the battery cover . It does feel rather good in hand and it matches the whole phone's design. The active standby has a lot of changes . The "configure voice mail" option is there because you can dial your voice mail from a shortcut in active standby and in my phone the number was not configured Missed calls , new messages etc appear as extra lines in the active stand-by if you want instead of occupying the whole lower part of the screen . The same goes for all the notifications that can appear on the display . Last edited by Mweb; 30-01-2007 at 20:01.. Reason: please dont double post. |

a shot like that of the E90 is hard to get done there is more than 1 prototype there is i would say about 50 prototypes of E90 now and nothing can be done since its not showing the IMEI code
The E65 is ready all boxed and all just will wait for launch then wait for the E61i and will launch together so i would say march - april it will hit the shops |

Sorry, I thought it was obvious: in English you don't say in a spec sheet that the device does not have AF - and neigher do Hungarian say it
That would be foolish. It's simply a misinformation - out of carelessness, or a shameless marketing trick, capitalizing on the fact that EVERYONE buying their fon there (MM) knows little-to-nothing about 90% of the spec sheet's meaning (this shop is widely known as the most expensive throughout the country). Either way, the device does not have AF. ps: this photo shows a price of about 470?, this suggests that it will be about 400? everywhere else, at first. |

AFAIK, this is the first review of the production E65 ever:
http://www.mobilport.hu/?r=8716 Sorry, for I don't know any Hungarian to English online translators, but at least you can watch the photos and see, that the four reviewers gave an overal rating of 9,5 out of 10 for the fone. They say, that it's nothing groundbreaking, but it brings the best of all the E-series at once (with the best slide mechanism from Nokia up till now). |
