Numbers/Codes for Samsung X660

Searched but did not find anything. Are there any codes/numbers out there for the X660? I am trying to install some games using a data cabel and was trying to follow the instructions in the various threads here. However, the numbers (#......*# etc.) is not working for me, and I suppose that has to do with my phone being an X660 and not D500 which is the model those threads are mainly about.

Any help would be appreciated!

Codes for T609?

Hi,

I have the Rogers version of the T609 (Black)
I wanted to install java games onto this phone, and I have read through the sticky.

While it does teach us how to install games, the java serial download code doesn't work.. (#*5737425#)

I get a "Unable to pocess request" error.

Thanks for any help,

Sorry , my mistake. T609 isnt the same platform as T509 (i've upgraded the sticky) and u can only install games by gprs via an online server.

T609 Codes

I have the US version of the T609. I understand it may be possible to adjust the incoming call volume up slightly. The user interface level 5 isn't quite as loud as I would like. Does anyone know how? Apparently the *#8999*8378# code that works for the T809 isn't correct for the T609. All I know so far is *#9999# will display the software version.

Let's keep the topic discussing codes for samsung's HPE phones in one thread.
=>Threads merged.

You can if u use sites like euploader.com to upload your own games and download them by your phone's browser. You'll pay for the cost of gprs by your operator depending on the size of the game but it's a very easy method and the best alternative.

Great find!! I tried all the standard codes; 1234, 000000, 0000000, etc. None of them worked for me. I'll post on other forums and see if anyone can come up with something.

Btw, could you tell me where you found the code for the java menu?

Hello havent posted anything for a while. I can see we now have a team trying to find out this password. I also just found this on another forum

You can try these in case you downloaded corrupted or incompatible Java midlets or other media, which are causing problems with the phone.
*2767*JAVA# Java Reset and (Deletes all Java Midlets)
*2767*MEDIA# Reset Media (Deletes All Sounds and Pics)
*2767*WAP# Wap Reset
*2767*CUST# Reset Custom EEPR0M
*2767*FULL# Reset Full EEPR0M (Caution)
For example : *2767*JAVA# would be keyed in as *2767*5282#

MORE SAMSUNG SECRETS....... Not sure how many work on the e900 havent tested yet lol.

-----------------------------------------
The codes provided may or may not work on your phone. If your try one you do so at your own risk, I take no responsibility.

Guess this sort of fixes all the problems?!?

http://firmware.javer.sgh.ru/

havn't tried it yet, but apparently the russian s/w has both the ring+vibe feature and you can install java programs from anywhere on the phone (mem card, etc.)

trying to download the thing but seems to die at 5.7MB don't know why... let me know if it works for anyone...

I had the same issue, the problem is that the first 3 seconds of the TONE will play softly, then get louder. I am guessing you are using a short MP3 such as "ring ring" which is less than 3 seconds long, and will therefore always play quietly.

Load up your MP3 into an audio editor (I use Adobe Audition) and copy/paste it several times so you have an MP3 of around 20 seconds long. This solved the problem for me.

Samsung E900 Java Games

Does anyone know how to install JAVA Games on a Samsung E900.

I've tried transferring the file by USB, it goes on the phone but doesn't play, sais its an unknown file format.
So i tried uploading to WapHQ.net and downloading it via WAP, but won't even start to download because its an 'unknown file format'. Also tried downloading some free games off a wap site and it says that it is a unknown file format.

Has anyone had success with installing JAVA games on the Samsung E900?
If so, can you please post up a step by step guide/tutorial on how to do it?

Thanks in advance...

NOTE: Flashing your firmware invalidates your warranty and can damage your phone should anything go wrong. Proceed at your own risk!!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok first things first MAKE SURE BATTERY IS FULLY charged!!!! here is how it went, turn off your phone and remove the sim, then plug the phone into the USB cable and into PC. then (found this by luck really) hold * key down and press the power button at the same time. A new device should be detected and installed. if you go to my computer hardware you will notice that there is the samsung phone but on a different com port to normal.. you should see there is no power on phone still. but it is there.

load up SUS
http://forum2.mobile-review.com/atta...1&d=1154415261

select the phone and the same memory range as in above attachment (snap 1)

then the confusing bit is matching the com ports for some reason sus is a bit wrong.

http://forum2.mobile-review.com/atta...1&d=1154415557

1 is com 1, then 10 is com 2, then 11 is com 3, and so on as in picture (not sure why this is)

then tick the same boxes as here

http://forum2.mobile-review.com/atta...1&d=1154415557

Flashing takes about 1 hour... be warned i never selected different only on first flash attempt and the phone stopped at 33% all worked fine except the camera. on the settings above i relflashed the whole phone..

Please be careful when ever you flash a phone as it is a risky process and things can go wrong. if you are unsure take the flash file on USB drive to your local Phone geek :P or shop and pay them to do it for you.. I was lucky the first half done one did not mess up the phone.

This forum nor i accept no responsibility for any damage caused to your phone. if you are unsure take the flash file on USB drive to your local Phone geek :P or shop and pay them to do it for you.. I was lucky the first half done one did not mess up the phone.

Help.. phone is dead.

Hey everybody,

I have a E900 phone, wanted to enable the JAVA menu, but things went wrong.

I used the simple guide with optiFlash.

The phone will not start up .. It only shows the Samsung logo.

I have tried to flash the phone again, but the problem is the same - it makes no difference whether SIM-card is in or not.

What should I do???

Please help..

The PC should still detec the phone, make sure you have removed the memory card and the SIM. Then insert the cable, hold the * key and press the power button once and breifly.

Then attempt reflashing another firmware such as the FF3 etc..
