Eomer, malinda, then the device sketched in this PDF presentation (pages 7 and 10) may come true in some way. Very exciting!

The new Communicator will be S60 3rd Edition (3.1 precisely) based. The internal screen will be VERY HUGE, and the external screen will be S60 as well - thanks to S60 3rd Edition's scalable UI. The keyboard will be large and comfortable, too. That's all for now but more info will come as soon as I know something.

E61i is slimmer version of E61 with camera.

Any specs on the camera? Prob not better than 2MP -?-

It's probably too slim to fit into my E61 desktop charger

I don't even know why E61 would be slimmed even more. Or is it slimmer from the width? Becaus 14mms is way slim enough if we're talking about "depth".

athos1111, it's not 14mm slim entirely...

thanks for the info Badger.. Good replacement for my communicator...

And any commie (E91 or E80) without main camera and probably smaller possible??? Just like 9500 and 9300 pair.!!! (Or may be a bit later)

How heavy is E90.. Heavier than 9500 (>250g) or just like 9300i (172g).. Because after seeing the Revo5 (thanks to malinda) I doubt carrying E9x everywhere like my 9300 now..

This looks like a classic example for a device with a TS to me - without TS / ITU-keypad it would be next to unusable in closed state...

But the design is cool for sure!

hi guys! im new here. just wanted to add my 2 cents, there was a reason for the e61 why it doesnt have a camera. first, marketed as an enterprise communication tool companies have standing NDA and puts privacy as there main concern that is why major companies dont allow mobile phones with cameras within the vicinities of restricted areas like R&D, conference rooms, executive lounge and manufacturing.

As an existing e61 user, what it think would be a hit upgrade are the following:
1. UMA enabled
2. more internal memory (128MB)
3. HSDPA enabled
4. More bluetooth profiles (A2DP and AVRCP)
5. implementation of Nokia Team Suite (e50) a group collaboration software

nokia doesn't need to release a new phone with the above features above excluding 1,2,3... a nice firmware upgrade would be nice instead...

Will these two (or either of them) have AF?

That means that 'E65' will miss the videophone camera then. Anyway, 3MP w/ AF seems nice for the 'E90'.

- Unique hinge mechanism folding
etc.

E90 sounds very promising, as from spec that u guys provided above, it is the perfect handset.

I'm windering about the screen resolution..is it VGA or HVGA?

IMO, i think this monster will be equipped with at least 330 MHz cpu...
What a powerful device!!!

wort, that's a good question. Because the 9300 and 9500 both had a very unique and stretched screen. But I don't think this will be the case with this E90. Does this mean that the device will be very wide as it will have the standard 3:4 resolution?!

Freak_Nas, then great I just find it weird that a corporate device, where usually you look for functionality over imaging, has these kinds of camera.

i think its normal... when 9500 was announced (vga cam), 1.3mp cam phones are the highest in the market (@ least for nokia- the 6630)... so 3mp is just ok coz 5-6mp is the norm when this device will be released...

...thread threading...

Exposed large outer screen on practical device asks us to treat it like a PDA without TS... BTW when is that coming (grrrrr)

Commi has never followed fastest bandwith... so no HSDPA, but at least wIfI

...also as SE have released a watch, how about a bluetooth watch from Nokia?

These are my musings...

9400
'Feminine' device, with 10GB HD or SDHC capacity

9700
9300 form factor, one with cam n without... or perhaps 2mp cam on inside. avilable in wine red and black, with nope no silver just more glossy black

9800
'Masculine' device flatter but more like Nintendo DS size. Possibly by pushing the screen into the flatboard... However this gives u a raised edge of keys that can be used as the control/alt keys... also PSnub, maybe use the BlackBerrys Pearl's.

9900
Luxuriant device...TS, Psion Revo like, no outer or basssssic screen, any other Nokia phone acting as a control device using WiBree, with network approved dual SIM, comes with a WiBree desktop stand, rarely placed into it when friends are round becuase it activates your home profile with the cheesy ringtone

9990 - full outer S60 in total synch with internal TOTAL
9999 - its never gonna happen... BT headset stored within device.

If they release two devices, one in E series and one in Commi, then one could have GPS and HSDPA, ala N95?
