DYER1, good thoughts, but if they would announce another M series phone, they need to cancel the m600, coz nobody would buy it because lack of the camera. And p990 too, coz many ppl would prefer way smaller m600 if it had camera.
So i think the M600 successor with camera may be announced only after the M600 and P990 release.

Sorry but you?re wrong there. Neither I nor any of my friends and associates care about smartphones. Or rather, i could consider one, but that is in spite of and not because of the fact that it?s a smartphone. Give me one with a decent CPU and UI/menu speed to rival a non-smartphone and i?m all ears

Wrong again
I have owned and used P900 and 6680 and found both cumbersome half-baked excuses for a proper PDA/phone.
Therefore i have come to the conclusion that smartphones are not for me.
(Pretty much the same goes for friends and colleagues of mine)

Malinda is a troll. Please do not feed the troll.

The truth is, the majority of consumers do not care if it's a smartphone or not as they never get beyond the handset's basic features. Nokia do put S60 is a large number of their handsets, and I can guarantee that only a handful of users of those phones will actually do anything with them other than use basic function.

I don't think that Nokia are pushing smartphones exactly - I suspect that the use of S60 in some of these devices is more for Nokia's benefit than the consumers, as it makes application development easier.

Still waiting for any proof of a Z800i successor, even though I have calculated that a P990i(compatible with 4gb pro duo) and Z800i would satisfy my needs completely....

Do you really think so? Have you used it? How can you imagine that nokia would make such a huge mistake. The camera can be used as all other camera clamshell phones.

The picture of the phone is obviously taken at a funny angle. Of course the camera is usable *duh*
What i don?t like is the cobbled together look, like the two halves don?t really fit together. Either it?s a design trend a la?6270 or its a proto with less than perfect fit. (I hope the latter..)

Yeah ThreeX, clamshells really ought to be either Moto or Samsung IMO, all the other manufacturers have a try at that form factor and fail dismally!!

No, that one is the N93 - I'm guessing that the N73 is more basic.

DUNGA, candybar. True N70 successor without Wifi, but with the other mentioned specs. Introduction unknown but soon. We think it will hit the shops around Christmas at the end of this year.

I am predicting a Christmas 2004 deja vue with new Sharp 904SH(?), Toshiba, SE(Z800i successor), Nokia N73(?), Motorola V4X(?) models for the 2006 Christmas 3G extravaganza... I am looking forward to it...

bjx, thanks

So, N93:
GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/WCDMA, Bluetooth 2.0,
QVGA, 262144 color screen;
S60 v3, SymbianOS 9.1

3MPx camera (max resolution: 2048x1536)

That's all that is interesting...

Christmas only for N73? By that time SE has the market flooded with 2.0 / 3.2MP cameras and K800 is on the market by half an year...

I would like to see Nokia more advanced in a more uncomplex Symbian interface and quicker to introduce more advanced cameras (Carl Zeiss is JUST a tag) with 3.2/4MP, AF and optic zoom, VGA video recording and full screen video playback (not to mention less brick symbian phones...)

So we already know that nearest introduction of N-series will contain N73, N93. What the third device will be shown? may it be n91 successor?

rmcrys, there is 3.2mp N80 and many 2mp devices.
