any way i found the drivers, they can be find by googleing pk 2.9

Hi...

Now am i being really stupid, or is it a little bit complicated to set an Mp3 as a ringtone on the Motorola L7 - slvr.

I have put them on to the memory card, recieved from bluetooth, or taken from the computer using the usb cable, however... i cant seem to set them as the ringtone once on the phone.

They are there in the 'sounds' folder.

to use them as a ringtone, i think it needs to be stored on the phone.

Because the problem with that is, the phone memory isnt that big, so if you wanted to set a full Mp3 as your ringtone, it isnt likely to fit on the fone memory.

Whats the point of using a full mp3 ringtone? Just cut it down to around 25-30 seconds.

To use your mobile as a modem you need Moblile Phone Tools. Buy from www.bvrp.com

Reduce your mp3 bitrate to 64 Kbps and then the full mp3 fits in your phone fine.

I just bought this sliver L7 it doesnt have itunes but it has mp3.. big deal. anyways. i plugged the Usb cable into my phone then computer, and it doesnt read it. like not at all. then when i unplug my wireless mouse and plug it back in, it says that it is installing it. after it finishes it says that it couldn't find it. I have the cd for the installation. and the cable. Its a new phone...it says it couldnt find the drivers? i have no idea...anyways if u could help me out i would be greatly appreacated.

I have the mobile phone tools cd and ran the updates on mine and still could not get the drivers to show up. So i went into the detect.ini which houses the phone drivers and found out the naming sceme. I went under {GSM} and found a phone close to mine and took out there model=c*** and put in model=L2 and this is what I got:

I tried this and worked for me:
-Download P2KTools v0.7.1.9 and P2K Advance Editor Build 5515
-Connect the L7 MP to your PC
-Use the drivers of P2KTools v0.7.1.9 to intall the mp.
-Then unplug the L7.
-Open the P2K Advance Editor pgrm.
*You need to make this quickly:
-Plug the L7 to your PC again and when you heard the recognize sound of your PC press in the P2K AE "Connect in P2K mode" button and wait to the green advise. (DO NOT CLOSE P2K Advance Editor)
Now you have the mobile in modem mode, and you can open the "newP2K" (also called "P2K Tools v0.8.6 build 406") and manage your SLVR L7.

You can read the mobile and delete some files. Now here is my problem: when I try to add some file to the mobile, newP2K collapse. What can I do?

I installed itunes at first, it worked fine.

Then, I installed the Motorola data driver as Motorola USB modem, and installed Motorala phonetools to edit address book and pictures. It works with fine with the phonetools 4. But the phone can't connect with itunes.

Does any body can help me on that?
