jannyman, I have a card reader in my laptop that can read 8 diff formats, including MMC, Sd, MSD...
and it's all in one hole....

izoneiz, N80 isn't a music oriented device. what's wrong with not having a 3.5mm jack if it has the ad-15 adapter??

I dont see why its so hard to just implement a 3.5mm jack like on the N91?

Why? Because who wants to use the lame nokia cans instead of top-end inear buds?

Also, I must agree about the macro function. I was merely asking if the lack of AF is such a big problem. One thing my 6630 lacks, apart from wifi, is a macro mode.

jannyman,

I was talking abt N92 not N80,

N92 has 90 MB internal memory for user data and full size/RS/mini SD/MMC card reader (hot swap) according to this

http://www.n-gage.com/nseries/v2/med...=en&country=R1

and it also carries 1500mAH battery that almost like a powerful pocket PC. (O2 Exec Battery is 1620mAh)

So you think N92 is a better choice?

If you check on the Nseries webpage under "Enhancements" you´ll see that N80 supports many new headsets where you can attach your own headset through 3.5mm connection.
HS-20 looks really nice! You can controll volume, change songs etc etc..

N80 also has 5 band EQ.

If the n80 had that, then it was THE phone of this year. I mean iTunes and S60 and N80... nobody would buy a iPod then, LOL

It's just annoying to have to take another item with you to listen to music. Surely the whole point of a 'convergence' phone is that one unit does it all? Also, an adaptor adds to the effective size of the phone, is less easily replaceable if it breaks, etc.

To put it another way; if there's nothing wrong with requiring an adaptor, why does the N91 allow a standard 3.5mm connection as well as a 'full' remote connection, and why do Nokia promote this as being A Good Thing? ;)

AF, iTunes would have ruined it for me and the iPod is so successful because it was an innovator. Now days the iPod's arent really the best out there, but people dont go elsewhere because all there music is on iTunes and they wouldnt be able to play it on a different Mp3 player.

seedub,

The idea is that the iTunes function is a MP3 player program that can connect with usb on your windows/mac and sync with iTunes (IF YOU WANT). That means you not really have iTunes to sync, if you put mp3 in to the phone and scan with the program he can recognize it to. So why would it ruined for you?
Again, see it as Oggplay with alle format support and syncfunction with iTunes.

dominicdiep,

Yes and that is the main point, I have a Mac so I use iTunes and this would be perfect for me. But it doesnt mean that the function only works with iTunes...

AF, its because its not like oggplay. iTunes uses its own format which and if you buy music for iTunes, like many many people have, then you cant use it on anything except iTunes.

seedub,

Itunes on the pc/mac uses MP3 (that you bought or DIDNT BOUGHT) and AAC.
Ever used iTunes seedub? On windows media player you can also buy mp3's, but thats not the limit, you can also listin to illegal downloaded mp3's. So is iTunes. But that is for the pc or mac.

With the iTunes for S60 I tought of a concept like oggplay, but with iTunes sync...

i have a terible notice for u "The N80 is a capable imaging phone, even though that is not supposed to be its main focus. The 3-megapixel camera is a first for the U.S., although unfortunately it is not auto-focus, and some test shots we took were not overly impressive"(phonescoop.com) it mens that k750i is still the lider.

Here we go. Its a proto. Not finnished in hardware nor software. And I dont believe Nokia released pictures taken by N80 for public. Remember the same bull*** was for the N90. Many blurry pics that people put on the web taken by early protos. And when released it took beautiful pictures right!

Anything that comes with hardware and firmware are useless to discuss until its released on public market!

Phonescoop should know better not to say anything about pics quality in a still relatively early prototype.. Anyway, camera is only one function and to me N80 is the best combination of functions I've seen so far. Of course others could come out to the markey by March 06.
