ermmm that white one looks more uglier version of the black one.. the 4 side bezel looks glued together. the keyboard looks usable but uglier compared to X1, i guess its a trade off. lol


i dont understand the xperia line right now.. is it higher than EU series? or the other way around? or is it WM exclusive only? or will SE drop this line after x2?

the buttons on the front panel seems to be more accessible now than in the X1. In the X1, if you had big hands rather big fingers, you almost always end up pressing 2 keys coz of those recessed and small keys. This one has more separation - makes it more comfy to use I reckon.

the display seems to be brighter too?

looking at the picture and where the former x-pannel button whas, you can see another image on that buttun wich suggest there could bea new sort of x user interface rather with scrolling pannels instead of static panels. just my thought.
maybe the same scroll interface we saw back then with the pxxx series that had a jogdial/scrollwheel.

Yep it has a 3.5mm jack. And no xenon flash obviously. How many blackberrys or htcs have you seen have a xenon?? For that you have the satio.

The X2 keyboard of the white version, gives me a strong retro feeling because it reminds me (to a certain degree) the keyboard of my very first laptop back in the early ‘90s, never the less if it feels the same then it will serve its purpose great!

I will explain to you then:
IMO, after the announcement of X2, Se will reach its maximum potential this year. Honestly, I am tired of their same design and the A2 platform.
Where are more Symbian OS devices? When will their Android phone will be announced? The walkman and Cybershot "brands" are worth nothing this days.
The only nice thing they should strongly develop is Entertainment Unlimited and Android.That is their salvation.

The next announcement will be at the end of June, nothing special. There will be no Xperia this month.

I doubt there will be more symbian devices this year with the Symbian^2 not yet ready. Will probably see more of those devices in 2010 and moving on to 2011. Android, as SE has said will be based on Donut, aka v.2.0 which has just been announced. So expecting an announcement in a coupke of months. SE will obviously tke android in a big way, coz Sony themselves are collaborating with them this time. Sony have decided to create standalone walkman players based on the android platforms, the tech of which shall hopefully be carried on to the mobiles.

@mobile phone helpdesk, what happened to the 8mp candybar that was supposedly in the works? And what aabout Reese? Anything more interesting coming up other than the x2 in 2009?

Not being smartphones doesnt make them mediocre. they both have their own markets. And 500 pounds isnt overpriced as is the price quoted. The N97 sells for as much.
