There will be a product announcement. There has to be. Why else would they fly you over from the UK?

I went to the party in New York and the party in Chicago, no one was flown in. Everything was out of pocket. Something bigger is happening here and I want to get to the bottom of this.

Don't think tehre will be an announcment, we can expect N82 on December, Nokia World. But not 2 weeks later IMO..

Yeah your right as the event link shows buttons of the N81 all aroudn the screen. I think its ovi/music related.

Here's the answer what will be there straight from Daniel Shugrue:"The LA Mansion party is a celebration of our new and exciting Nokia Nseries fall product portfolio as well as a recognition of Nokia Nseries increasing sales and marketing presence in California. In other words, we won't be announcing any new devices, we'll be showing the devices that have been announced to our California base."

HaHa "gift" means you get to keep, unlike every other Tom, Dick and Harry on certain other mobile sites i don't accept gratuities from Nokia, for fear of it compromising my journalistic integrity, yeah i give em a hard time, but certain other staff members on here are more in tune with what Nokia are putting out, they should not be excluded for my "sins"

I think Nokia threw the party to thank all the local stores who are going to sell Nokia phones.

Some people got to ride in a Ferrari to show off the N95 GPS while riding on Mulholland.

They had N-Gage games to play. Creatures of the Deep seems good.

Upstairs, the N95-3, N81 and N95-8gb were on display to play with.

One guy was showing how to set up ORB.

In another room, they had a ton of N800s as a display wall. They also showed off slingbox.

A guy outside was taking pictures and uploading to flickr.

Since I had to go alone, I couldn't enjoy the free booze. I developed a headache and went home early.
