Rotateme - convert your S60 3rd ed. phone's screen to Landscape Mode

Hey mates. There's a new app available now for s60 3rd ed. devices called Rotateme which converts the screen to landscape mode. I tried it and it's working amazingly on my N80. Pretty cool indeed...

Download from HERE
It's unsigned at the moment so you need to sign it for it to work on your phone.

Signing guide HERE

Here's a video showing how it works on an N73:

It looks like a great little app!! It will be really usefull for webbrowsing.

But how do I sign an unsigned file?! If I install it on my N73 it says "Unable to install protected application from untrusted source".

pistol_star, thanks for posting that! If this is the only way to do it, I'll give it a go.

RS77, did you use the method that pistol_star posted or do you have an easier way to sign it?

EDIT: I see the openingpost is updated... I guess that's the way to do it.

@deuxani
There is no easier way to sign, because this is the standard procedure.

mpennala, the signing must be done imei by imei... so unless you give your imei to someone, it can't be signed.
Please don't publish it here due to your own security issues. The imei is something you don't want to give...

Wilbur, that's too bad then

Yes, it's a bug in N80. I don't know if other phones have this problem. Anyway Samir, the creator of this great app, will probably fix this in the final version.

What can I do if the screen gets oriented to landscape and won't change to vertical?

Select "Portrait" will make the screen get into the original vertical position.

By the way, I don't think it will ever work on 176x208 phones. I remember reading somewhere that symbian don't support 208x176 - only 176x208 (some apps can be made horizontal, of course, but not the system)

Kind Request

Thank you developer for your efforts but could you please not forget us guys with Nokia E50 ? I signed and installed the application on my phone but it doesn't work. I'm looking forward to a version that would. I'm also willing to do beta testing for you if you need it (I'm a tester myself :P). Thank you.

CEBEP,

You need to set the install options to "Allow all" and sign the file with your IMEI. Tutorials how to sign files can be found on this forum. Good luck

Not working on E50

It's Not working on E50 (that's what I have) although it installs fine. From what I've read on this forum and other places it's not compatible yet with E series. I'm waiting for the next version, application seems quite inter interesting.

is it possible for someone to just sign the app. Having everyone signing them themselves seem troublesome.

Good, will give it a try. I wish navpad directions would also change. I cant imagine myself getting use to it

update: have finally installed it. changed .sis to .sisx as the file extension.
works really fine.

and yes, the navpad is incorrect. kinda hard to get used to it. I hope it will be fixed soon. respect to developer

That's not possible as you have to sign it with your own phone imei number. Waiting for the final version

plzzz guys ......can it be made compatible with 3250 also

coz s60 v3 does support 208x176 resolution also............coz when we twist the keypad...........the camera..gallery and the real player and also "pvplayer" (which is a 3rd party app).....go in landscape mode.

so i think there is a possibility of getting landscape in 3250 as well as n91 coz in a very old firmware of 3250 we could actually turn everything in ladscape after twisting the keypad

i hope u guys got my point and will take action or contact the author of the app for this issue

thnx in advance guys !!
