Question N93i?

Im not sure on this one , they have never done an 'i' edition of an N-series handset so im sorry if i get this wrong , but its nxt to the N93 profile , and its clearly marked N93i ? is there something else about to happen to this device?

I think it's in referal to N93 Golf Ed. since there is no apparent difference to the N93.

The "Mission Impossible III" edition came out some days ago. So it's already the 2nd special edition for the N93, along with the Golf Edition.. could refer to one of these.

There is no N80i. Neither an Internet Edition, as you still can't find it on any official Nokia site.

Looks like Nokia couldn't resist going shiny with the surface, looks like a Oled display.

Nokia dropped pop port and the front speaker, looks slimmer, and lighter now

What do you think the various ports in this side picture are?

Left to Right - Speaker, Headphone/ Power , USB, ?, Flash ???

Where's the slot for the storage card?

Carl Zeiss engineers have to learn from Sharp on how to include 3X optical zoom without barrel.

Source thinks there ought to be USB instead of Pop-port.
No closer information.

This isn`t n93i- this is n96!!!
There would be never a n phone with sign i.
Why? I don`t know. It isn`t natural
BTW, this phone looks great, although it`s still too fat, IMO.

m.h, then why is there a official Nokia UPAPROF file for the N93i?

But I agree - I can't remember a single "i"-Model with a complete design change...it seems almost too much for a simple update.

m.h, it has a sticker where you can read n93i (roughly, ok), but i'm 100% sure it woon't be called n96.. what's the logic anyway??

and since the UAPROF is here... there's not many doubts, right?

Thanks for pointing that out.

Seems like there is a pretty serious hardware change involved (eg. Pop-Port -> miniUSB finally!, completely different position for the loudspeaker, side d-pad -> joystick?). I wonder if there will be a 3.5mm jack as well (similar to the miniUSB-featuring S60 phones N91 & N95) as this would make this phone quite a bit more interesting imho.

I don't think the N93i will be much smaller than the N93 - assuming the screens are the same size-wise.

As the UAPROF features of the N93 & N93i are just about the same, I'm quite curious what the real difference will be (apart from design of course).

Wow, finally it's real !!! I also think it's N93i since it also has 3.2 Mpix cam (IMO, the real N93 successor should have at least 5.0 Mpix cam)... I'm wondering if it has 3.5 mm jack supported...

**^ramintop^**, most probably because it was taken by a non-AF N70 I guess
Wouldn't it be boring to have high-quality pictures instead of trying to figure out basic things like labels and so on on noisy lowest quality pictures? ()

Thanks for repeating what I said almost word for word in my thread about the replacement for the N93, you could at least credit me if your going to quote me.

http://forum2.mobile-review.com/showthread.php?t=56184

Think I will give this phone a miss & wait for the N93s true replacement. I would imagine this version will be more attractive to the networks as it seems smaller & hopefully lighter.

I have a feeling that the device also has BT stereo audio, a different external screen which has some similar idea like the Z610i, it is slimmer and maybe a lot less heavy.....

but that is just a feeling....
