U900 or N78 or ?

I have shortlisted two phones U900 and N78. My main requirements are good looking, good music player, FM, decent battery(at least remain on for one day with medium to heavy usage) and decent camera (since I don't own a digital camera).

Please suggest more handsets which falls under my requirements. Though I don't like moto's interface...

My D600 has problems on low signal area. Does U900 also suffer from the same problem ?

In my opinion n78 is good looking and very original !

FM

It has FM radio with integrated transmitter. U900s FM radio , according to its owners, is disastrous.

n78s battery even with heavy usage can last 3-4 days!

and decent camera (since I don't own a digital camera).

n78 has one of the best cameras in 3.2 mp class.
Though, n78, nor u900 can completely replace digital camera because they lack xenon flash and optical zoom.

All in all- go for n78.

For the time being, a lot of U900 users are experiencing a lot of obvious scratches on their phones after a month of normal wear and tear, so unless you buy a case for it, I don't think it's going to be a good option.

N78 has a slick design, and if you really don't need 5MP, then N78 is the one to go for since it has more features than the U900

N78 has much more to offer like Wi-fi, GPS, FM Transmitter & 3.5 mm jack.

All in all, offer you much more.

I would go for n78. Wi-fi, gps, 3.5mm jack, s60 FP2. U900 fades when you compare their specs(except their camera).
I am not that excited about U900 magic mega pad. I preffer real pads...those digital ones are kinda 'stubborn'!
But if you want something to come close to a digital camera(picture quality ), you might get a nokia n82...

Thanks for your suggestions. I am still not sure which phone to buy. I know N82 has the best camera in the market but I have some doubts on its multimedia functionality. This weekend I will play with all three handsets. Lets see which phone I buy.

The only advantage the N78 has over the N82 is S60 FP2 AFAIK. Either way, both these phones are quite powerful devices when it comes to multi media.

But, n78 is way better in music and screen as well as the user interface too. It's slimer has better battery life. The only advantage of n82 is the camera.

N78 is a good phone and Nokia has a good reputation when it comes to their N series. You can be assured of a good phone. Just an example, N73 is still one of the more popular mid level phones in the market. It still commands good price for its age as compared to its direct competitor the SE K800i. The N78 is the N73's successor.

Thanks everyone for their suggestions... After some search I found one of the best music phone Samsung i450, which meets my requirements i.e. good looks, great music. I would rather go for Digital Camera than camera phone (N82). Wi-Fi and GPS are not my requirements.

the N78 definitely. my U900 Soul can get scratches on its battery cover just by placing it on the table. however, i definitely prefer the design of the U900 Soul.

Nokia are doing great phones, particularly N-series but I must warn you. The battery capacity is far from good though.
It drains like nothing as soon as you start listen to music.

the N78 has one of the best music playback times in all music phones, tested to give 21 hours.

U900 has very bad battery life

N78 has a good set of features but I really hate it's design
and don't forget the awful keypad !!
out from the 2 the best is the N78....
but I won't pick any one of them... ( there are better choices for the price range IMO, N82,etc...)

Today I tried N78, I must admit its not good in music department using proprietary earphones, there is no bass and no clarity. I did not like the looks of LG secret. I think best looking phone is Samsung U900, however, it has its own drawbacks like poor speaker sound and FM. N82 is a very good phone but it is expensive and most of the features does not fall under my requirements. I came to the conclusion that Samsung i450 would be best for my requirements (without a decent camera) and cheaper than N78, U900, LG Secret, and N82.

Apart from camera, yes i450 would suit your needs.

u900 is soo expensive..and its not pretty..the design is kinda girly..no matter which color, its still a gay phone..N78 however, has larger screen, GPS and 3.5mm jack..and its a smart phone

Go for U900. Better design IMO, music player has clear sound (though little bass), I've no problems with the FM radio, battery is verry good allso and the cam is just stunning
