    Torch / Flashlight on K800

People, for the ones who wants a TORCH IN K800:

    You have two options

    (1) Torch on K800 by Focus Assist red LED

    http://torch.advanta.se/

Please post some feedback (as I don?t own a K800) and give credits to the author.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
    (2) Torch by LCD, multiple models (LCD becomes blank with white/ multiple color) - (finding by afoi & admad)

    http://rapidshare.de/files/29262007/...Light.jar.html

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Now... if someone manages to make a java app do record QVGA video on K800... :P

Afoi: Is the light strong as K750 or dimm? Does it iluminate enough?

On my 6680 if you keep the main camera lens cover closed and you go (thru the menu) to the camera app, it uses the 2nd camera (videocall camera). Try it on K800.

I cant compare as I dont have a K750 with me. Its exactly the same amount of light when you on focusing an object, just, it remain opened until you closed it.

I dont think the 2nd camera can allow snapping photo yet...

so far im not impressed, but i have to try it at night to tell if it works well. I would just rather have an application that gives me a bright white screen than this lame torch. I'm sure that's not difficult for programmers to do.

talking about bright white screen... I have this disco.jar, which will have afew option to choose from, you can have your screen blink with differents colour (brlue+red+etc, etc) like a disco light. I remember there is one with bright white screen too.

Heh, that's pretty cool. It's much more focused than the K750i, it gives you proper torch effect, the K750i has much more spread so is probably more useful.

I went to a camp and I had to use (a lot) K750 as a torch and the only words I (and lots of people who didn?t even know K750 or his torch) find are "IT?S FANTASTIC!!!".

Lots of light, low battery use (comparing to a standalone torch) and good spread of light (more wide than a normal torch) and that by two tiny white LEDs... K750 is the king!

I don?t have a clue on N73 but I almost it doesn?t as the instruction should be different. Search for a Symbian app for N73, it should have something... If it has tell me as I want that too for my 6680.

marwan74, Sounds strange. To which folder did you transfer the .jar file via cable/card reader?

if doing it via cable/card reader I always put the .jar file in Other and then install it using the phone's filemanager.

when i tried it it was to application for application files and games for game files. when i click the file i got a copy/cut/delete options, it just did not run. but when i did it through Bluetooth it run fine.

i'd like to note i tried that on the K750 and not on the K800.

marwan74, if you copy straight to those folders it won't work, the phone has to install it there itself.
Copy to Other and then use the phones file manager to find it, then it installs when you select it. Over Bluetooth install automatically anyway, so it's always fine
