It's a API windows error, the best thing to do is to install the latest version of windows XP (service pack 2)...

Never seen this fault. You have the latest version of the PCsuite and the DKU-5 driver installed on the PC?

The DKU-5 driver is your datacable driver. If you use this cable you need this
driver. You have to install the driver before installing the PC Suite. If you do
not use the cable then the driver is not necessary.

What I did was: Installed Pc suite, pluged the dku cable along with the phone 6630 and windows (XP SP2) installed the drivers automaticly.

When I started PC Suite I went to the "connections manager" icon and chose the USB cable only. It's working fine! It was the easiest setup I ever had with a phone.

what you have to do is create a new user account in windows xp, set it as administrator (your current account will also probably be administrator, but work with me on this one). set a password for this new account

restart the machine, log in via the new user account
install the software, you might get the same message, but if you look, this time the software suite will have installed. however, the installation is incomplete. IMPORTANT: Leave the cd in the tray for the rest of the installation:

download drivers for dku-2 cable from nokia site, install them. once again you will probably get the same error, but then hit finish.

plug the dku-2 cable in. Windows will say found new hardware and try to install the drivers for it (if not then restart the machine), hit "no, not at this time" when prompted to connect to windows update to download drivers, and from there click next all the way (no need to change the pre-selected options). lots of drivers will be installed including bluetooth ones (well on my machine they were cos i have a bluetooth dongle), but the process is the same for each driver.

then go to nokia connection mananger in the pc suite and configure the Bluetooth connection if you have a dongle. USB connection requires no config.

restart the machine and log in using your normal username. if the nokia pc suite is installed, then reinstall the dku-2 drivers, repeat the driver installations and thats it!!!

The last thing I can think about is completely resetting your PC. Thus FORMAT C:/
    and then reinstalling WIN XP.

    Spyware

Spyware progs such as Ad-Aware block the update of the Microsoft.MSXML2 component. Disable spyware and try to re-install.

I have disabled all spyware (i think) and even uninstalled some in hope that would work. I wrote to Nokia re Error 1935.

    They sent me this:

    >>

Thank you for contacting Nokia Helpline.

With regards to your email query concerning the installation of PC Suite, the
error you are receiving is a Windows installer error and is not part of Nokia PC
    Suite.

This problem can be rectified by updating your installation of the Windows
Installer Service. Updates are available at www.windowsupdate.com.

Please note that even though you may have automatic updates enabled, this does
not mean that your Windows Installer will be up-to-date.

You may also wish to try using the Windows Installer Clean-up Utility. This is a
free application issued by Microsoft that helps repair damaged installations of
the Windows Installer Service and the registry and is also available at the
    above address.

If you should have further questions or suggestions please feel free to contact
    us anytime.

    With best regards

If one of you can fix using the above please tell me how you got it.

try this people. i had the same problem but knowtised when the error 1935 message comes up that the pc suite still launched and worked perfectly fine until you clicked ok on the error message then it uninstallled the pc suit and nothing worked. so i simpily installed the pc suit and waited for the error message to pop up then i reset my computer using the button on the front of the computer and hey presto eveythin works %100. i didnt need to do any extra driver downloads or updates or anything like that at all.

    PC Suite installation succed

    Hi...
I had the same problem and I resolved it doing this:
With 7zip I unzipped the PC Suite.exe file, into the new folder (with the name”PC Suite”) I found and install the PCSS.exe and after that I installed the PC Suite.exe that was into the “PC Suite” folder...
    Voilá..
I hope that my English was good enough to help you…
