Typhoon is an interesting refresh of the existing E200 but making it much smaller. Still has a VGA camera (no photo light), 262K display, bluetooth, J2ME, MiniSD card
Qtek 9090? :D

Delphi,
you are a gold mine of info
Admin of Modaco says it has FM radio too.
BTW, Typhoon is also the codename for Russian strategic missile submarine class...
(SSBN TYPHOON CLASS STRATEGIC MISSILE SUBMARINE, RUSSIA)

So HTC Typhoon is a secret weapon too? ;)
I doubt it will be a secret weapon. Its thin and has a nice rocker button for navigation but its designed to be a cheap smartphone !!! For me a smartphone is not cheap but functional so the idea of designing one to be cheap is a bad idea. RF will also be an issue with this handset and HTC are not known for great radio.
sebset, I Know :-)
Keeping with the weapons theme Typhoon is also the code name of the EuroFighter project. Lets hope HTC are better at getting to market than this aircraft !
(EuroFighter is only used by German Army isn't it?)
Can you confirm that HTC Typhoon has bluetooth? And do you have more info about hardware... Still AMR processor or intel Xscale?
thanks
sebset,
EuroFighter is for Germany and English Army - very cool plane last time I saw it at an air show.
Typhoon has bluetooth. Not sure on the processor will check it out and come back to you.

Bluetooth, mini USB port, FM radio, SD/MMC slot, Windows Mobile Smartphone 2003 2nd edition, VGA Camera, new OMAP 730 processor...
Expected for this summer on Orange network
Only bad is not hot-swap SD slot...
Here (http://www.coolsmartphone.com/index.php) is also mentioned IrDA.
The joystick seems to be similar as the one used in Japanese imode phones => a roller.
I remember I sold my first SPV two years ago because it was too large... but now I could change my opinion and buy this one after all! :p

This system must be bad for e.g. playing games etc...
What a beautiful looking phone, but hot swappable deficiencies are not excusable... Mpx100 will be more reliable... Maybe my favorite looking candybar ever...
C500 vs. MPx220... the choice will be difficult for me!

Hij heeft wel bluetooth Marc :)
Anders was HTC wel heel verkeerd bezig..

hmm, not for me. I'm a clamshell-lover and the fact that it has a 1.2 mpixel camera.. Plus a normal memory card system which is hot swappable, not a kind of Nokia system which means you must remove the battery first :(
