Does anyone out there know the specs of the TM200 from Sharp. I hear it is a 2MP camera phone similar to the TM100 but out in November.

My guess is that it is a bar version of the GX40.

mediaslaves I can never tell me sources as it would be too dangerous. Sorry.

However I can say that if you look at my past postings you will see that I have been correct in the information I have provided.

What kind of source this must be if u just can only provide a simple name everybody can think of himself?

Also everybody knows about GX40 (which will be named different) as a 3G Modell in summer 04.

I just wondered where this information is coming from, 'cause TM100 is a t-mobile branded phone and the next phone from sharp for t-mobile is a clamshell phone. BTW gx40 is for vodafone...

But if u cannot talk about it, no problem... Time will tell.

mediaslaves interesting you are saying the GX40 is 3G and in summer. Time will tell but I don't believe you will see a Sharp 3G handset in Europe for Vodafone before 4Q04 if at all this year.

Of course TM200 is for T-Mobile hance the name but the form factor is still not finalised but is expected to be similar to the TM100.

With regards to sources its strange but once you post details of a source on a forum like this they tend to stop being sources.

Memzee,
Delphi is quite accurate about that acutally.
My Vodafone source told me that we wont see any new Sharps at the very end of this year or at worse at the beginning of next year.

That's the Sharp GX25, with bluetooth etc that's not just for headset, just has no SD slot :(
Best looking phone out in the GX range at the momento though.

There are some pictures of a T-Mobile clamshell with an oversize camera which you can Google along with some specs circulating that do support the assertion that the TM200 is upcoming and is a 2mpx device, pretty much in the mould of an upgraded GX30 type handset. This would pretty much make it a "GX40-class" unit, except the speculation is that Vodafone will want to use a rotating display as with the Sharp 902 for their 2mpx camera phone.

However, there's no indication as to where the TM200 might be sold. The TM100 is exclusive to Europe, and the TM150 to the States, so it could turn up just about anywhere.

Although launching the TM200 in Europe could seriously put a dent in the launch of Voda's 3G service which uses the 2mpx Sharp 902 as a flagship to the range.

Hmmm. :rotate:
