Unfortunately, young people in the UK are woefully uneducated. I have written numerous times on this forum that the non-English posters are making the English posters look ridiculous.
I really can't see why people can't spell properly when using a full keyboard. Even then, with the advent of T9, there should be no need to SMS in this way.

I found out that many Americans I've been talking in New York frequently misused many grammars, omiting verbs and subjects. They often used slangs which made me confused, because I had no idea of some slangs. Some of them even confused me with terrible English. Especially, Ebonics are still a hard language to understand. Considering utter language is alot different from written English, I can understand some grammatical errors made in conversations. Also, there are many immigrants in NY, which make the society really diverse. I also think same there in Britain. So please don't take it serious. I was just curious whether you are an immigrant or a native. Now I am curious about your ID.
What does Clam man mean? Does it mean a silent(clam) man, or a man who like clam shell or a man who likes clam (1$ bill) or a man who loves clam chowder like me?

Still, Clamman, your English is very poor, way too poor for someone living, and obviously born, in the UK or any land where English is the native language. You can't even put down a single decent line. You'd better brush up your grammar, your knowledge of the language itself. If this truly is the present-day situation in the UK, then things, I'm afraid, seem very appalling. There was a time when Britain was famous for its education, namely Oxford and Cambridge, but seriously, such a drastic decline in standards that the native people have problems with their own language? It's really unbelievable. I do hope that something is done about it...

I did not say that Jamaicans or Afro-American can't spell. What I DID say was that you were phoenetically spelling in the same way that the above people would SPEAK. My point was that a person who had spent all their life in the UK was unlikely to speak in that way, and as such why would they TYPE in that way.
I can see why you would think I was racist if you thought I said that Jamaican's etc couldn't spell. I dodn't say that, and if I had, that WOULD have made me racist.
The fact of the matter is, I am black. My parents are from Capetown, but I was born here. I do not have the same accent as my parents, since I have never lived in Capetown.
