help with the LG 7100

today i brought a unlock code for the lg 7100 they sent it but could not undestand it they said

Keep accepted (orange) SIM in
Press 2945#*70001#
Setup Menu
Security
Sim Lock
Off
Enter code: ********
Phone should now be unlocked

but when you key in 2945#*70001# it bring up menu but says nothing to do with setup menu, security or any of these can someone tell me how to make this work please help

The LG7100 can only be unlocked by pc mode...........no remote at all.......got mine done at Bracknell market for £10.00.........gotta give it to em 4 a week tho.............but done it ...good alround service 4 Pakis...

well, just so what they told you as follows;
remove sim card from the phone.
switch on phone and key in the code, 2945#*70001#
from avilable options, choose reset to default.
you got the right code.

Hi I followed the instructions left by quinsley, but did not get a option of "reset to default" instead I get "factory settings", this just deleted all numbers and tones, can some one tell me where I am going wrong
