The most international forum..... Its a great atmosphere...
actually i change my vote, i selected "It's 2 small" but when i reconsider i think it's a good size, not 2 many members so most of us know each other!
If I only could choose one forum, it would be this one. It is always up to date with the latest news and rumors (I like them=). Mobile review rock!

I am sorry to say that it is not the BEST one !!! Because it is still lack of some important box like Symbian phone,S40,S60 Nokia phones...Plz perfect it !!!
best forum ive seen. for sure. no need of expanding the forum further into...s60 or so on. then ull need a SE pxxx series division. how will u manage it ? its alright as it is. series 60, 40 etc do come under nokia dont they ?
or may be just one other thats symbian. but no subdivision. (just an opinion)
but its good its only meant for discussion. but may be if there was a download section, u'll get more hits than ever.
I like it here even though I am a member in other places too I spend most of my time here :D

A download section, chat, bigger avatars which wont happen, more details beneath your avatar. Just some of my opinions.
My opinion is that many people here are too brand minded, some people have no idea what they are talking about but the forum is good, not bad.

Who are the people that dont have any ideas?
I don't know.. I do know who the people that post just for the sake of posting are though.
I do know who the people that post just for the sake of posting are though. Like posting 6 times in the theard and not actually saying anything.....! lol ;) Maybe those people should use the PM option more?
Changes I would make.....
A WAP/reduced graphics version so we can all ***cheaply browse from out mobiles! This is simple to create a small alteration of the code of the site and a new theme (which can be downloaded for free)
RSS feeds of particular threads & forums, so for example you can subscribe to the rss feed of the Nokia, Sony or rumours section....?
I have asked edlar and other mods a number of times and nothing seems to happen. I have even sent examples and code which needs to be edited for what I am proposing....either they do not want to do the work (I can and would if needed...) or they cannot see the benefit?..
Also the ability to grade users in some other way than simply the number of posts that have made (NOKIA 6630) For example, a user asks a question and if some reply?s and give good advise or information they get a mark from the user who asked the question. I have seen it in other vbulletin forums where it is called mana?..
This would be better than being called a expert for simply posting a lot?..
What do you think?

I absolutely second that & agree to it, very good idea. By this everyone posts what they want where they want without any second thoughts

badger,
let me be the third to agree with you on that:)
The system you're talking about is 'Kudos/Reputation Points'. We have it on se-nse, but it has been deactivated on this forum, as well as some others such as MobileBurn.
Info on making a mobile review low graphics version.

With that activated it could really trash someone because you dont like them or fluff someone becasuse someone likes some one
Everything has its plus and minus
What should be ask is does it help people when using the Forum?
if yes then use it ;)
Nokia 6630,I couldnt say as I dont seek to remember the names of members that state incorrect information.
When I said dont have any idea what they are talking about I was referring to for example people speculating and commenting on models that they havent owned in many instances generating ficticious stories and giving incorrect specifications on models.
Memzee for a moderator I think you are most certainly lacking in human relations skills. This is a thread that is a posting for posting sake thread. Please be reminded that its title is "What do you think of this forum" not "What improvements do you think should be made to this forum"
Therefore I simply posted my opinion of the forum.

I agree Adi23 :D
Memzee for a moderator I think you are most certainly lacking in human relations skills.
Do you want to justify that?
There are two types of people in this forum. Those that post replies with the intention putting forward their opinion, or providing information, and those that post replies because it adds one to a number underneath their avatar (if they have one). I've been using the forum for long enough to realise that.
If I had the time to search and quote from several threads;I would.
Are you suggesting that I am posting to increase by post count and status on this site?
I think I joined in December and ive only made 62 posts by writing many of them I sought to help individuals which I always try to do whenever possible whether online or in the outside world.
The only justification I need can be found within this thread through your apparent insinuations.
As a moderator part of your job concerns making people feel welcome and comfortable.
However,in many instances your actions do not reflect this.
I see that you didnt attempt to counter my explaination as to why I posted under this thread instead deciding to focus on alienating members.

Adi23
you will find that your on your own in your opinions about Memzee.
inane opinions are easily said by those who have have never been there.
oh, and by the way, if it was just a "What do you think of this forum" thread, there would be nothing else to say other than ticking the options in the poll would there? commons sense will tell you that expansion of that question would naturally lead on to "What improvements do you think should be made to this forum".
Brightspark to my knowledge I have never been in an arguement with Memzee.
If you read my post carefully you will see that I couldnt just tick an option in the poll.
In addition, from my posts one can using "commons sense" (your incorrect spelling of this phrase is quite funny) see the suggestions which I did not implicitly state such as immediately editing or deleting false statements.
You have stated "you are on your own in your opinions about Memzee" and already if you had read the posts under this thread carefully you would see that this is not the case.
You comments would have had much more significance if you were not a moderator as one can only assume this is a case of a mod taking up for a mod having gotten cosy through lengthy interactions.
BrightSpark I also remember when you were displaying quite a high-level of Motorola fanatism specifically as it concerns the V500 if someone posted that they wanted for example a smartphone you would recommend the V500.
Again highlighting the quality of moderating on this site.
It is a pity that the owner of the site is not more familiar with English Language as I believe the English section of this site would be a bit more organized and moderators more humble and efficient. In my opinion several moderators seem to act like the English portion of the site is their own.
I am not at all interested in making the thread go furthur off-topic as some moderators seem intent on doing so I will (try) and refrain from anymore posts under this thread.

NOKIA 6630 never stated what part he agrees with.
BrightSpark I also remember when you were displaying quite a high-level of Motorola fanatism specifically as it concerns the V500 if someone posted that they wanted for example a smartphone you would recommend the V500.
from a naive point of view, possibly. but unless you know the reasons why i recommended it on every single occassion (which i have stated previously), you will realise that you haven't a clue.
your incorrect spelling of this phrase is quite funny
likewise, your spelling of "arguement"(ie argument), "ficticious"(ie fictitious) and "willse"(ie will see) are also equally funny.
My inaccurate spellings are as a result of fast typing and are merely words not utalized for specific emphasis.Your misspelling is ironic for example it is like posting you are unintelligent and spelling unintelligent wrong. Thus making the poster of the statement seem unintelligent rather than the party to which his post was directed.
Even if no member posts agreeing with my opinion of Memzee the search button provides all the evidence needed for justification of my opinions of Memzee and yourself.
So you can start deleting posts away.
I should think that commons sense dictates that if he stated "I agree with you,Adi23" that is in relation to the entire post.More than likely if he didnt agree with a portion he would have indicated that in his post.
However,I could be mistaken.
BrightSpark by posting in this thread for the first time causing the thread to go steadily off-topic by taking up for a fellow mod really shows your friend's point of posting for posting sake.
You have made no valuable contribution to the kristof's thread.
Memzee has also made no valuable contribution to thread with his first post in the thread concerning my post of posting for posting sake.
Lol. Mobile Geniuse and Expert.

dudes cool it.
although i understand what adi means i think hes being very harsh and a bit blunt because he feels that he was accused of being a postwh*re.
i must also say that i think adi perception of what a moderator should is only partly correct, they are not just the hosts here> its not public relations: its management too. and sometimes you need to be a bit heavyhanded and firm. moderators here have a lot of work to do that goes unseen and they cant spend their time pleasing everyone.
my post of posting for posting sake.
its funny that. i dont think he was referring to you;)

People just forget about it and move on.
1. We are NOT in a spelling contest in this forum so knock that off you guys!
2. BrightSpark I also remember when you were displaying quite a high-level of Motorola fanatism specifically as it concerns the V500 if someone posted that they wanted for example a smartphone you would recommend the V500. Again highlighting the quality of moderating on this site.
This has nothing to do with moderating, it's simply his own point of view. A Moderator does not automatically mean that what he says about mobiles should be right. He's having this lable for organizing the forum & not for delivering accurate information every time.
3. Memzee for a moderator I think you are most certainly lacking in human relations skills
I personally disagree with you on this, but if you read this thread carefully you might understand what & who he was referring to (assuming you are surfing this forum a lot & knowing most of the active members & the kind of their contribution to it)
So Adi23, I think you are being oversensitive & should relax a bit before going into more discussions that shouldn't have happened in the first place ;)

faw, the voice of reason:)
Adi23, you seem to have a chip on your shoulder. The forum isn't a place where you can take out your aggression. You must be insecure to think that I was referring to you. You have a post average of less than one.. use your head a bit.
As for your opinion, you're entitled to it.. even if you are in a minority, but constructive criticism is more useful than spouting offensive slurs and mocking people for their spelling, especially when you try to use 'big' words that you can't even spell properly.
I can't see this thread going anywhere, but I'll leave it open for a while longer, but I think I'll close it soon to stop certain people from showing themselves up any more than they already have done.
I am seemingly new here but ive been visiting for over a year.
I feel compelled to post in this thread is this the way moderators interact with members.Moderators talking about spelling when they themselves cant spell to save their lives.A poster expressed a simple view and people are jumping on his back.
I agree with Adi23 the only justification needed as evidence of poor moderating is in this thread. These two moderators are hassling.
If a moderator shows signs of being a brand fanboy this in fact brings into question his moderating skills generally moderators are supposed to be stable and mature individuals.
Good Grief.
generally moderators are supposed to be stable and mature individuals.
Good Grief.
And that is too a certain extent true. mind you i cant spell to save my life :D but i hope that does not impede on my mod skills (such as they are) i have no axe to grind with Adi, however IMO Memzee does an A1 job!! And im quite at ease with mods having a preferance for one brand or another, its NORMAL :D so chill out all concerned
If I had made such a fool of myself I would want to just fade into the background, and hope that the thread would die too. Adi23 on the other hand thinks he can be clever, yet is being very naive at the same time. This thread is a reflection of your personality and insecurity above anything else, trust me.
Let me tell you what's going on here. Adi23 realises that his argument is flawed, and that no one has agreed with him. So what does he do? He makes a new username - "Toby" to make it look like someone agrees with him. How cute.
I can confirm that the IP address for Adi23 and Toby are almost identical.. so close in fact that it's obvious that it's the same person (Many ISP's don't use static IPs, but IPs usually only vary in the last 2/3 digits.. as with this case). Good one.
I think it's funny that you thought we wouldn't notice.
