My new car audio system (relatively new because I have it from 8 month :) )
For radio cd is a Sony model, which I have chose because it is relatively cheap and has USB port(which is a must have thing in my opinion) and also aux.
Generally satisfied with quality of sound (but not impressed or something like this). Volume is ok you know typical 4x50 watt, but I have installed some more watts which I will describe later. USB is a practice thing although the audio from it is not like the cd (at least in my system).
Radio overall is good.
Speakers:
All changed and new, 2 Pioneer two way speakers 140 watts rms , 2 Panasonic with external twitters ~150 watts, 2 Kenwood with 4 ways speaker 500 watts one peak power, and one (my preferred one) Alpine 1200 watts subwoofer. it is like an experiment from me to put all those speakers. The sound is a mix and it is a bit hard to explain. One thing is sure, there is a lot of sound in my car and I not dare to put the music at max volume . the max that I can tolerate is 24, 25 in my car cd player player which have a 34 max scale.
Amplifier:
Two, one is Sony GT series 600 watts power and the other is Kenwood also 600
watts.
My scheme of speakers is like this:http://img299.imageshack.us/img299/2581/myschemecaraudiosustem1sc4.th.gif (http://img299.imageshack.us/my.php?image=myschemecaraudiosustem1sc4.gif)
I don’t know if I have chosen the right speakers or the right scheme, but can assure you that doing the right sound it is very difficult and expensive.
But I tray and tray :)
Theoretically I know that my Sony cd is a bit weak for my Pioner+Panasonic speakers in power, so I chose ~65 % of load in front , knowing that behind I have to many speaker with additional supply.
What do you think, it is ok or do I have to make changes?
And you what sound have in your cars?
