Ha ha I knew that was coming. Hes not a Premiership calibre maager anyway. How can you go from managing Israel to Chelsea? lol

It took Fergie 10 years to build a title winning side at Man Utd but Grant being sacked is just a perfect indication of how different football is these days. With the amount of money being invested you need to be winning year in year out just to break even. Another 2 seasons without silverwear and I think uncle Roman will have to consider pulling his roubles out. Even if Man Utd had a bad season they would be in deep trouble given how much debt is against the club.

One day Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd and all the rest will rue the day they allowed foreigners to take hold of their clubs.

In a market economy, clubs cannot pick and choose who owns them Bav, United and perhaps to a lesser extent Arsenal realise the importance of continuity at the helm, Liverpool lost its lustre for me after the great Shankly and paisly era in going the same way as so many others by installing clueless foreigners in the managers chair that ought to have been reserved for the boot room boys to come through the ranks like in the old days. :)

Of course they choose. Unfortunatley for us David Moores went with the wrong people but things could quite easily go tits up for Utd if they were to have a bad season in terms of the interest they are paying on the loan. Arsenal have yet to fall victim to a takeover but I get them a year before that happens.

As for clueless foreigners im sure you were not referring to Benitez. Whilst he is still yet to crack the league he still managed to do in 2 years what Fergie has just now managed in 20 years - get to 2 European Cup finals.

HeHe who was pool manager when you last won a league title Bav, i can remember the Liverpool of the 70s and 80s when Man u played 2nd fiddle to them, Rubbish teams are clipping at the heels of Liverpool in the championship these days, i don't like Benitez one bit, nice guy, but too fond of foreign players for my liking!!

Well he brought us number 5 again so on that basis alone he is up there with the great managers. Naturally its the league we are craving for again but you have to remember out of us Utd and Chelsea we have spent the least. Chelsea have spent close to £300mil on players since Abramovich was in charge and Utd still spend around 40+ each season on average. The problem is we need a bigger stadium to bring in more in ticket sales. Another thing is we have never capitalised on out sucesses in the past, especially Istanbul. Oh and we have 2 American clowns in charge but hopefully that will be put right before one of them catches a bullet in the head. :-)

As for foreign players, I think that ship has sailed mate. Good english players are hard to come by these days.

Quite agree, let's see if Benitez has the brains to keep Crouch then :)

Not sure about that one. He seemed reluctant to use him at all this season and it seems he will be used to make weight in a deal for Barry.
