between the diamond and xperia, xperia's wide screen will be great for movies, and I think its a good phone overall, except for the interface maybe, i still need to see reviews to make up my mind.

The HTC Diamond is extremely touch-optimized this takes WM platform to a new level.
Dimension wise I think this is nano technology at its best so far

I know the iphone is not using the same platform but for your everyday consumer out there all 3 devices are touch screen with similar capabilities hence the poll.
I think the XPERIA is a good competetor but seems rather dull compared to the diamond's visual effects

GPS, 3mpx AF camera that CAN shoot video, 3G, HSDPA ... etc? the only thing that the iphone is good at is the interface, and the Diamond's one doesn't seem quite bad too.

PHARAOH, the only thing the iphone has over those 2 is the screen size and UI, other than that, the xperia and diamond are much much feature packed!

The Diamond is nice but it may be an idea to wait for the new HTC flagship device.
GPS, 3mpx AF camera that CAN shoot video, 3G, HSDPA ... etc? the only thing that the iphone is good at is the interface, and the Diamond's one doesn't seem quite bad too.

iphone? naahhh, i already had one and waiting for 3Gversion with higher capacity
diamond? a very interesting phone from HTC... certainly smaller and slimmer than iphone with 10x of iphones features;) BUT, 4GB isnt enough for me...
X1? info from VIP forum said that there will be major disappointment on this...
waiting for HTC's flagship "raphael" as well as Iphone3G...
I think iphone should be in this poll simply becasue it set the benchmark for touch screen based phones. Whenever a touch screen device comes along the first question is how does it match up to iphones interface? OK iphones features are lacking but thats been done to death so lets not put that record on again. But it should rightly be in this poll.

thats another plus for the xperia, its only the UI thats better in the diamond, so i dont whats all the fuss about?!

You have to wonder why they didn't bother with a flash, seems an odd oversight?
Maybe the picture quality is of such low quality they felt a flash wasnt needed. Or maybe they wanted to make it even more iphone-esque by omitting a flash haha.

I bet all these devices will be put to shame when iphone2 is unveiled but that is for another day.

No its all just speculative but I mean its almost a year after iphones launch and still no phone has matched iphones interface so im guessing their sucessor will wipe the floor with the lot. All speculative though. :-)

PHARAOH, when you post something, and then you get that painful feeling that you need to post something else directly after that, click on the edit link on the bottom right corner of your post, then you can add whatever you want, instead of posting two times back to back, hence double posting! :)

I voted for Diamond because it has the best spec to size ratio. At 110g with a 2.8in VGA screen, gps and wifi is just too tempting.

Another one for diamond. Specs and looks quite good. No for X1, because the weaker UI and don't need physical qwerty. I won't even think of iPhone, because they aren't selling one here and I ain't spending 400€ on a phone without a warranty that work only with cracking it.

You've got the terminology wrong. Double posting is when you accidentally submit the same thing twice.
Making two posts with difference content directly after each other is not double-posting. That's why PHARAOH is confused.

I want to know how well Sony Ericsson P5 stacks up against these phones you have mentioned and between them, I definitely would go for Diamond.
P1 is too big for me and Iphone is terrible in that sense it lacks in everything else but eye candy.
The P5 hasnt even been announced yet. If you think the P1 is big then dont expect anything smaller on the P5. I think it has a same size screen if not bigger as well as being a slider with the same type of qwerty rocker keypad.

That are just vague guesses made by some webstore or another. As the Diamond is already available, it's pretty clear that those dates/prices are just speculation...
