Nice looking car! The little R8 flavor makes wonders in that car IMO. Shame about AUDI's reliability in general, otherwise they make perfect cars for my taste! Great design, nice handling and good all-wheel-drive!

Audis reliability?! Come again!?!?!?

He's probably referring these reliability tests...

As you can see Audi is not the shining star when it comes to reliability. Quite opposite.

Yawn
How can you compare technologically advanced to bread and butter manufactures? The list is flawed right from the start. Of course you are going to have more recalls with more tech stuffed inside your car. That is the price you pay for premium technology. Hell, even Daewoo made it to 8th spot, but what does it offer compared to Mercedes, BMW and AUDIs? Does Daweoo offer permanent four wheel drive with split traction 60:40 going to rear wheels for a sportier performance? What about motors, any accolades of engine of the year? Hell no.. and the list goes on and on.. :(
Just my 2 cents

Yea no one should really take statistics as evidence, since there a numerous factors that aren't taken into account when the survey was being conducted

Sojistill doens't take rocket science japanese cars are more reliable.
i can see a mitsubishi lancer evo IV 2lt 400hp, giving a good race to more than twice the price of it.
and a pajero/montero winning dakar rally year after year.

You are right about Japanese cars giving a run to Ze Germans for money, but still remains undisputed fact that most technological innovations come from de bruders whilst others play catch-up. Need I to mention the sophistication and brand recognition?

Well, it's not Daewoo who is taking the first spot on reliability, but Honda. And I just made a pretty detailed comparison between new Audi A4 and new Honda Accord. You might be suprised how much more you can get with Honda for the same money.

You're basically saying that cars with a higher price tag (which doesn't automatically mean that it's technically more advanced) are justified to have more problems?

You must've misread what I have written above. Daewoo (eighth place, ahead of other performance oriented cars) was only an example of wrongly conducted survey. I'm not saying Honda are awful or bad cars, far from it, but premium established manufactures tend to offer more technological solutions and more sophisticated equipment compared to the Asians and Japanese. Hence the reliability suffers. The only exception is Lexus, and the only market they are not surpassed is USA. In Europe they are FLOP. There is no doubt you can get a lot of car for your money buying Japanese, it's just they are playing follow the lead game. And they are very good at that. :)
