Meh, i just got a ticket.:spy:
Now i'm wondering how it compares to the rest of the world

I payed 65 € for driving 110km/h in a 90 zone , in wallonia (southern Belgium).

i actually found that quite reasonable.
Did you guys have any, and how does it compare ?

That is quite reasonble. Better than what we pay in Vancouver

My mom was speeding 80km/h on a 50km/h zone. The place we were driving was very deceiving. The road was wide and it's pretty far from the city center, and since it was like a few blocks from the highway, my mom just sped up. Unfortunately, the police knew that we do this, that's why they set a trap for ppl like us to run into :(

We were charged like $125 CDN, which is roughly 85 Euros...

On a side note, in Vancouver, if you speed at a construction zone, you are charged double the amount for speeding. I usually travel around the area where the Canada Line is being built for the 2010 winter olympics, and they only let us drive 40km/h when clearly there's no construction there...But we have to obey the rules and go 40km/h, just in case we're fined 250 CDN. Can't believe the bus can go faster than us :(

Never had a ticket for anything other than a parking violation. I was told in certain states in Australia that its double points and double dollars for speeding fines on bank holidays.

lool, see this is what i wanted to know , those special rules (speeding on bank holiday lol)

radeonboy, that is quite ok, better here i think.
it was pretty cheap for me cause it was on the highway (just some sharp turn @ 90) . If we do 80 in a 50 zone here its gonna be a lot more expensive.

btw, we don't have a point system .. and the cops remove like 10 % of your speed before calculating the ticket :jump:

In the UK speed cameras allow a 10% error because car speedometers are allowed the same error of margin, Bedfordshire police then allow you 4 miles on top of that, I know, cos I asked one! so 37 miles an hour in a 30 zone, you deserve all you get!
