Problem with HTC touch

I have bought HTC touch 3450 3 months ago and so far I was very happy. However, the calendar reminders stopped working for the past 3-4 days. I have ensured that my calendar events are properly recorded (including the reminder option), that in sounds and notifications the calendar reminder is set properly and the problem is unsolved. The events come and go just like that with no reminder nor any visible notification. I have tried soft resetting the phone but still after that, there is no solution to the problem.
