does anybody know the release date for the w960i.

and also, what does everybody think about it? i am thinking of buying this phone... it doesnt look like iit has a D-pad ????

cduuffo13, it was planned for the past month, but you're gonna have to get used to SE and their delays, they issued a press release saying that it have started shipping about one week ago, so it should be in shops in a couple of weeks or so.

while you're waiting for this new "fantastic" SE, you should consider buying some alternatives like the N95_8GB, here's a detailed review:

am living in the uk.

and at the moment my N80 is broke. i ahve no phone, i relaly need a phone.

i dont fancy buying a phone such as the n95 8gb and then upgrading (shortly) to the w960i because it will cost me a lot more.

what countries is this phone out in? and if i did get it imported would it be basically the same as a UK version?

even ebay doesnt have this phone!

heard that the phone will be in the Indian market by christmas - prices have not been disclosed though :)

They have it listed for release on 21/01/2008.

We have had the W960 here for testing since September and I didn't like it then and I still don't like it now. And for £419.99 I like it even less!

However, I do like the W890 :) It's a great little phone if way overpriced!

In Sweden (where I live) it's supposed to be released week 49, but it was also supposed to be released in october, so I don't know what to believe any more

Yes, the W960i is the pride of Sony Ericsson, but let's not get carried away. The W960i isn't an "upgrade" to the N95 8GB.

maybe its delayed because the sony walkmans are still 8gb max?!

He meant hes upgrading as in getting another phone. It was a factual comment and one which doesnt need that sort of response with your Nokia V SE spin. :-)

Some people have it already on Esato. I would be interested in trying one out to see ho the flush screen compares to previous SE touch screens.
