View Full Version : 1000mah for G600
Go on then, before I put it in my phone tell me why I shouldn't or what may happen - standard is 880 I believe.
Company selling them has said that it will be safe but best of all it will give longer use between charges. I just want to be sure which is why I'm asking you guys.
Thanks in advance.

yes that is correct, more milliamps = longer use.
it should be safe to use.
think of it this way. there are many varieties of AA batteries, but most have different milliamps (example. duracell 950Ma, Energizer 1050) , but they all work in the same device, e.g. like mp3 player. but the higher milliamp ones will last longer.
let us know how you get on. I was thinking of getting another battery anyway.
Bit confused - it still only lasted 2 1/2 days before it needed charging (same as original) this could be because I work in the basement and the signal is very intermittent so the phone is working very hard to keep a connection, even so I would have thought it would last longer than that.
Have put the original back in for now to double check the time frame.

all new battery take some time to charge to there full capacity, and also need to be run right down before recharging again. quick charges are fine, but you will not get the full length of usage out of a battery doing this all the time.
Just in case anyone else wants one, you can get them from http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/15189.htm

thanks for the link, I may go for one of these but would like to test longevity on the original battery first of all in an everyday scenario.
I found the standard would stay on 3 bars for 2 1/2 days then it would go 2 down to 1 in half a day. New battery is on 3 days 3 bars at the moment - 3rd full charge and it is getting better.
