Hi I really hope someoen can help.

I have a Nokia HS-36W Bluetooth Headset that I had paired with my Nokia 6021 work mobile phone. There was a problem with my phone so Vodafone delivered a replacement for me. Now I can't get my headset to pair with the new replacement phone??

The instructions that came with the phone only tells you how to pair the two when initially set up and doesnt tell you how to change the connection to a new phone!

I desperately need my headset as I spend a lot of time driving so if anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

Thanks.
Damian

Hi,

Normally with Bluetooth accessories, you need to search for the device from the phone itself and not the other way round. Try making sure you have the Bluetooth facility 'active' on the phone and also 'visible' and then make sure any other Bluetooth devices that may have been paired with that phone before are deleted from the list of devices in the phone.

Usually you have to hold a button down on the Bluetooth headset for ages until the light stays constant, then you can search for the Bluetooth using your phone and accept it.

If you still struggle, try the website for the manufacturer of the Bluetooth headset for help. Hope you manage to get it sorted soon : -)

On the instructions it says that you pair the devices when the light on the headset is on constant, but I've tried hold the button on the headset down and I just can't get the light on constant!!

I have my phone bluetooth on active and visiable but when I search for the headset it finds nothing.

Surely I wont have to go get a new headset......you must be able to pair it with a new device!!

you need to reset the bluetooth headset in order to connect it to another phone.. read the manual on how to do this.. on certain SE devices by holding down both the volume keys you reset the device and the light keep being on
