mweb6161, CDMA (American and Far-Eastern) Nokias always looked funny or odd to me but I figured it was intentional (just like European cars always look "better" than the American ones). Still I think the 2630 or 3110c would've been adequate for that market too.

mweb6161, believe it or not, nokia sells tens or even hundreds of millions of these CHEAP phones, and even CHEAPER phones like 1100, which is a key to any company's success; to offer a solution for every consumer.
