Problem with my P990 camera cover

hi! i've noticed that the camera cover for my P990 gets difficult to slide. after a few tries of opening and closing it, it became okay. but after awhile, it gets stuck again. anyone else experience the same dilemma that im having? should i have my phone checked and serviced?

i was about to have it checked when i made this observation, the camera cover only becomes stiff when its cold or whenever im in a cool area / room. i verified this observation several times,

1. i tested it outside the office, no strong a/c and it worked fine.
2. in my car, when i opened my a/c and i placed the phone near the a/c vent, after which, the lid became stiff again.

i know it seems kind of weird but it really does that. well, at least mine does. anybody else experienced this? or is there anyone out there kind enough and willing to do the same experiment? im trying to get a hold of another P990 to try out the same experiment but the other user i know is unavailable. i hope to give you guys more feedback after i do so.

i just find it really weird coz if it were true, then the material used for the cover at least is poor/cheap/inappropriate. i used to have a k600 before i shifted to the P990 and the camera cover slid perfectly everytime i needed to use the phone cam. i wonder if there's some rubber or whatever material that expands due to temp. change?
