View Full Version : Can't update my 6233 to v5.43 - why?

From my understanding, the latest firmware version for the 6233 is v5.43. I have a vanilla 6233 but I cannot update it from v5.10 using Nokia Software Updater. Why not?

v5.10 is a horrible buggy mess and I need v5.43 as it corrects all the issues :-/

NNS would only let me update to v5.10 as well.
I flashed my phone with Phoenix and a downloaded v5.43 data pack.

My 6233's been running on it since it came out and the only time I encountered a bug was today when I disconnected the handsfree (it rebooted).... what bugs and messes are there???

Well, when I was previously on v5.10, the applications list and bookmarks were empty (no matter what I did), and there were graphical artifacts present (vertical lines) when displaying dialog boxes in certain Java apps. =)
