Hi there,
I'm jus joining, and I haven't seen any thread about issues related to this model; am I then the only one who has been experiencing those? I bought it unlocked, without plan, since I travel quite a lot overseas and my cingular phone (relatiely basic) is locked. So I swapped the 2 phones with my cingular SIM card.
1) The p990i causes a lot of dropped/faulty calls, over cingular network at least. I don't recieve calls at all on it when I'm around my desk in the office (while in the same conditions, I receive calls with the cingular phone, Motorola ROKR, etc.)
2) The drops are systematic wherever I am, when I try to use the motorola bluetooth headset (which is supposed to be compatible with p990i).
3) Many times I get a a garbled text on the screen
4) The tools in the main menu only has 3 entries when the flip is closed, for 9 when it's opened (but maybe that's the intent).
I'll stop there. If anyone understand what the matter is, or had the same experience and was able to solve the problems, it'd be great to hear from you, thanks!
