I purchased a HTC TyTN / Hermes a few days ago and I am running into a few problems:

- the already instaled Internet Explorer Mobile only allows to have one open page at a time. This makes navigation very dull. Even my old Motoroal A1000 could have up to 5 open windows. Is there any way to change this?

- MSN Messenger is also pre-instaled and when I first logged in, the device automaticly created a new folder called Hotmail in the mail directory (where the sms, mms and email are located). Since I don't use hotmail is there a way to delete this account or folder?

- For several years now I have had a contact list with hundreds of numbers and in every phone I've had since I always used Outlook Express for syncronisation but it appears Windows Mobile devices only pair with Outlook. No problem there. The problem is that the Outlook contacts only allow 1 field of each type (1 mobile phone number, 1 phone number, 1 fax number, etc...). When I copied the contacts to the TyTN I lost lots of mobile phone numbers because it only copied one and most contacts I have have two mobile numbers. Is there a way to add a new field for mobile numbers?

- How do I install programs into the TyTN? I have .CAB files, what to I do with them? Just unzip them into the phone root?

- Other programs come in .EXE format but if I open the file it will start installing in the PC and not in the phone.

Thank you for your time and your help.

Since I don't use hotmail is there a way to delete this account or folder?Delete the Hotmail key under HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Inbox/svc

Is there a way to add a new field for mobile numbers?Import all contacts into Outlook, clean and condense into single contact cards for your contacts and then sync to the device. I personally never enter a contact into my device manually, everything is driven from outlook.

- Other programs come in .EXE format but if I open the file it will start installing in the PC and not in the phone.Run the install on your PC, part of the process will be to transfer and install the application to your device via ActiveSync.

Thanks a lot!! Thats was great!

Delete the Hotmail key under HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Inbox/svc

I just can't find this folder. I've tryed using the "search" option but it didn't work.

Hartsink, it's a key in the registry database. I don't know exactly which application to use to modify this on a HTC TyTN, though - maybe badger knows or you can check the links badger supplied.

Hi...you shouldn't have to recalibrate the screen everytime you switch from normal to landscape and vise versa. Check with the handbook or call to make sure though.

No, but a common problem of the HTC TyTN, someone I know also had this problem and sold his device.
