Just Curious to what file formats does the Nokia 5300 media player support?
I have tried quicktime and also mpeg4. The sound works but no video. Anyone ever try to upload any full length movies to the media player?

I think the proper link should end on 5300 not 5700.
Quicktime and Mpeg4 seem to work, but important is how the conversion from the original file to the quicktime or mp4 file is done. Things like bitrate etc should all be correct to get it working properly on the phone. You might find this (http://forum2.mobile-review.com/showthread.php?t=31791&highlight=%22family+guy%22) thread useful.
Armando, whoops, selected the wrong device lol, will edit now.

Thanks for the info, great to hear from great minds!
I have a program called Plato to 3gp convertor and have been able to convert some actual movie avi's to play on my phone. The only problem that I see is that the movie is slow and can't seem to keep up with the sound, the quality of the movie is fantastic.
I also notice the media player you are unable to fast forward the movie.
Other than that this phone is super cool. I also like the feature of having an FM Radio handy, haven't listened to too much radio since I became an internet junkie. But now I have a cell phone, which has programable radio, how cool is that. :jump:
nj4x4fever, it seems the video and sound aren't in synch, try a different converter, perhapes?.Try pushing the joystick to the left or right to fast foward it.Or try the dedicated controls on the side.
