i have a psp and the problem is i cant read any UMD at all. what should i do?

What happens when you insert a UMD?What firmware version do you have?

its says unable to read UMD or something like that. my FW is v2.6

1st, upgrade to newest firmware (v3.40)

2nd, see if still broken, if it is, ring Sony, if you ring Sony without upgrading the firmware they will probably tell you to upgrade to the newest firmware then ring them again

both my cousin can play my umd but i cant one with v1.5 another with v2.7
even when im using v2.0 i cant play the game... i bought my PSP in japan and i live in malaysia... i went to the sony center and they asked me to send it back to japan... it has been more than a year...

There is a problem with your UMD disk reader I think. Try to upgrade the fw. I have the fw 1.5 and up to now I do not have any problems

hold on. what sign do u have written behind umd? TA-082? If yes, forget about downgrade or upgrade(i'm not sure about its versions cuz there were a lot of them, so u better ask somebody on psp forum)

First I had 1.60, then 2.00 and back to 1.50, then i switched to 3.40 oea and i think it's a best software was ever made for psp.

Does the v3.4 play copy games directly from mem card using an emulator?

Did you make some search on psp forums as here there arent any psp experts from what I see :D. You will get better and more accurate help there

Maybe its because theres like different settings on it like pal and the american version which i dont know the name
