What consoles have you owned/currently own?

Well, I must say, I've never really been into consoles, I much prefer handhelds.Anyway, I've owned a Playstation, PSOne,GB,GBPocket,GBC & a GBA.I currently own a PS2 and Ninteno DS.I must say,the DS is amazing,has so many great games such as: Hotel Dusk: Room 215, Contact, Star Fox Command, Spider-man 3, Final Fantasy III and many many more (not to mention the ones coming out soon).Trauma Centre is brilliant,it's where the DS features really shine,excelent touch screen use.Also, I own a cartrdge for it that enables it to play videos,mp3s,read ebooks and run its own free applications.It does all of those very well.I don't play the PS2 much (this may sound silly but after owning the DS for so long, I really,really can't stand loading times).I only buy the Fifa,PES and WWE games for it.Discuss...

I had a Sega 32bit a loooong time ago, but in march I bought a Nintendo Wii. For someone like me, who doesn't like regular gameconsoles, this is truly entertaining. Sure, the graphics isn't like a PS3, but wow - the entertainment level is imho way higher than any console available. Truly something you all must try if you already haven't... :)

odelsteken, agreed,i get bored of pressing the same buttons over and over etc,quite repetetive.It's sad really,most teenagers see excellent graphics,and its an instant buy,they don't think about how it plays or anything...for shame.Try out a DS,along with Hotel Dusk if you get a chance.

well ive owned a ps2.currently i own a halo 2 edition xbox and a xbox 360. basically for me too the basic criteria is not the graphics but the games. i really enjoyed games like tekken,mgs,wwe and the gta series on ps2.i switched 2 xbox when games started slowing down on ps2 and the flow increased on xbox.somehow the shinny games on xbox like doom,far cry, HL2 or halo ....didnt interest me. i guess every one likes their own set of games and gaming generes.tho most of the games i liked were available on both platforms but the graphics on xbox were a lil better.the controller was also better in xbox.but the major trump factor with xbox was xbmc....its own media center...and it is the best media center ive used till date. finally with xbox 360 i got both ...grt titles...most of them exclusive and brilliant graphics.tho IMO microsoft killed xbox too early.they cud have sent in a couple of more gta games on it.still with direct release on 360 and with saints row as a grt show i think there tryin to patch up.

I got a PS3, MY first council really, Never been a big fan of video games, but I've decided to enjoy life a bit more and make it more fun, I also needed a new DVD player and the I liked the PS3 Design, And It was time for a new phone, but nothing good out there So I got one! Now I'm looking for bargains on some good games! Just got Resistance off ebay, I'm getting a few other games soon (Motor Storm, Oblivion)

i have a sega megadrive II(16 bit), a nintendo 64 and a ps2.

and i never ever use them. No tbh, when i first had the sega in 94 or something i played it nonstop and the n64 got a loooooot of use. James Bond and perfect dark:D
But the ps2, hmmm, i only liked gta and got bored of that real quickly. Now it only gets used when a friend of mine wants to play. and thats very seldom.

I've had a Megadrive, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, Xbox, PSP, PS3.
Not really a console fan so the money has mostly gone on my PC instead (my Saitek X52 Pro should come today!) but I always find something that attracts me to them.
I enjoyed the Xbox but mainly for Halo, after that I very rarely used it and gave it to my sister. The GBA was good, the PSP was great, and the PS3 is just fantastic. Most of my mates have 360s and I just never got hooked, Gears of War is nice but just doesn't do it for me.
Resistance has, it feels a bit like Half Life set in the 50's.
I only tend to keep consoles for 6 months or so, time will tell if the PS3 lasts longer.

PSP only gets GTA Liberty Citys played over Wifi

N64 only gets vigilante 8 and goldeneye played on multiplayer

ps2 doesnt get played at all :)

I love Tiger Woods golf, & Zelda. Using the controller to carry out certain functions is great. It is a refreshing relief from just holding the controller in your hand & pressing buttons.
