Hey guys I read somewhere that nokia will launch a black 6300, has anyone else heard this? If so, when would this be likely to come out I read May but, nothings happening so far.
Tbh - I've never heard of a completely black 6300? Would be nice, though...

I read it on another forum that balck would be released in may. I'm not sure if I can name other forums on this site? But combined with eldar's review, I thought there might be some weight behind the rumor
A black 6300 would be nice, but a little late though. But for Nokia's kind of presentations it's normal. Different colors come always close to new entries.:spy:

it's not 100% bad. however they are not official, if you scroll down the page there is like 6 others, in all different colours, but they all look cheap
Chlettn, I agree the grey on black looks bad. All black would be nice if nokia is watching! can anyone translate the article? what's it generally about? looks like a company trying to sell face plates... but at least it's an option
That is why more trims are probably to come ? there is no way they will let only the black plastic and metal be on the market all alone. I think a bit later Nokia will release a device painted in black from head to toes and maybe a blue- or red-colored edition.
So as I said, the device will come in different colors, but often the successor is nearly to come. So the black edition might come in the end of May but it is more plausible to come in June.
I hope it comes at the end of May!

Would surprise me if they did'nt release it in black, Nokia seem to like releasing current phones a couple of months after release in a differant colour :)

These looks nice. I don't think they're from Nokia though, but still made out of steel instead of cheap plastic.
Well, how about the black 6500? Leaves the 6300 standing in almost every aspect - especially design-wise imho...

By the way, the bronze version looks much better than the black one (on the picture) imho...

Cheaper, better looking, more durable (?) + Nokia UI...the 6500 Classic will be a W880-killer for sure.:rotate:
Ya I think the 6500 is nice but, I don't know if I can wait that long. I think if I'd be happy is I could get the 6300 in black. Anyone going to guess when the black should come out?

Don't remember if it has already been spotted out, but in the 6300 spec sheet there is a photo crop of a 6300 that is definitely all-black (the pic to the right):

i don't see any black phone. The little close up of the blue light isn't black 2. It only seems to be black, beacause the photo is taken from left above

domipost, come on man! You can't blame it on the dark circumstances that the side and front of the fone is of the same black colour. The side between the led and the black surrounding of the screen should also be black.

I'm not saying that this is a hint for the all-black version, but this is not the current version.

I think they'll release the black version close before the 6500 classics are shipped.
Nokia came up with lots of different colors right before new models were released - so the chances that one black version is coming are good - even due to its success (here in Germany everyone's walking around with one).
As it seems Nokia won't come up with another color version. As far as they release both color versions of the Nokia 6500 it won't come.

Bought one of the HK housings and they look nice but didn't fit well. Battery cover is metal and front is plastic, which is cheap material, so I switched back to old silver front. hardest piece to get was the black keypad, which wasn't available on ebay worldwide, but found an seller here in germany. good quality.

I posted the white one in the 6300 discussion thread last week. Looks ugly, the black trim on the regular 6300 gives it a bit of charector IMO.
I pretty much like the white Version.
But in comparison I'd like to see an official black Version.
The white one is coming in september if you can trust the carphone warehouse:

Well, I believe the red 6300 was one of the best-built fones I've ever held with the matte red back and the stiff metal parts - along with the perfect size. And if I presume right, the white version should be just as matte as the red one (not shiny-cheapish-scratchprone like the black plastic parts on the original version). So it raises the question once again - why not flood the market with all the versions from day 1? They did it countless times from 6233 (white) to 6120c (white) or N82 (black - white). This just doesn't add up.
The black 6300 is for sale here in the Netherlands. Also the black N82 is set for coming soon (April) Its in their folder, anyone in the Netherlands can take it for free :)

Yeah the black 6300 is available in SG as well. Looks much classier than the silver one.
hahaha.. nokia 6300 all-black version already out here in the philippines last february.. the finish is matte not glossy like the original silver-black combo.. everything black.. keypad, trims.. everything.. original black and silver combo looks better in my opinion.. as well as the white and red ones.. all black version lacks the head-turning appeal bec. you can just mistake it for some other black phones out there..

Yes, it seems this has been the strategy for quite some while now.
The 6120C is available in a numerous different colours here atm, including black, blue, pink, gold and white, though only black at the beginning. 6500C and S had a few months of black and silver here too, now available in two colours each. The N95 8GB is really the best example yet though, which was the reason for not being black in the first place.
Well, 6300 is more a success now than ever, with really low costs. Being the unit with most production in 2007, they probably have low cost per phone and would like to extend the time range of the product, ergo new colors.
Seems like its not a rumor any more and its selling.

I bought one a few days ago and no, it does not have a blue back light. It is now white, not as good as the blue but the phone looks great in black. I didn't think they could make the phone any better, but they have! Compared to my silver version that I bought a year ago, it feels even better than that (power button no longer rattles)! And also, I like how they've made the camera surrounds a matte finish, so it wont scratch like the shiny finish on the original!

Not realy, itz just the screen. But thats with any mobile. I'd say my n82 is more prone to fingerprints than my 6300black

sms it is not only u. it is me also. the silver looks much better. black makes this phone even uglier. but n82 black is damn cool IMO.

Cheerz Erazer... I got it for one of my bros off of ebay for £100 delivered, unlockd and unbranded.
I also noticed just last night on tmobiles website they do it for £79.99(+xtra £10 credit inc) but its locked and wil have that pink 'tmobile' logo on the black wich ruins it all really.
