Hello everybody I am new to this forum, so I just thought I'd say hello and ask a few questions about the LG 7100.
I am interested in buying this phone and I like everything about it, is it true that you can take a picture of a person that is in your address book, and tag it to their name and when they call you their picture will appear on the external display?
This was just something that I heard and it appealed to me.
I like phones that have that capability.
I would be greatful if you could reply.

Have you purchased the phone, if so what are the BEST and WORST features of the phone? I just don't want to make a mistake by purchasing this phone if it is not really good. Is it worth the money?

LG G7100 looks good, but swiveling display and camera lens placed in toggle of phone is very bad idea. Before you could take some snapshot you must curl whole phone to make right direction. Samsung P400 is in this point much better.
Cool feature is woman voice when you pressed numerical keyboard. This voice saying numbers what you pressing - this function have, what I know, also some others LG phones.
I had problems with connection to PC by IrDa. Only by serial data cable is possible to upload pictures, ringtones and Java games from original CD. Same problem with download taken photos from phone. It is very slow. CD with ringtones, pictures and Data cable is in standard package, I think. On CD-Rom are also about ten Java games.
Im not sure about build quality. And about lifetime of rotating display.

I have decided that I WILL purchase the phone, but I really do not wish to to have a contract phone.
Is there anybody who knows where to buy the LG 7100 on Pay and Go apart from a well known auction site?

Well, I have been offered an LG 7100 from Romania for ?110, but I don't know whether it is a genuine offer, it was from somebody who had seen me bidding on a well known auction site.
What do you think?
Should I go for it?

Thats upto you, I heard many people got robbed online by Romanian websites...

[B] well guys,, my LG7100 definitely makes me proud wherever I take it.. I got it in Dubai, MiddleEast,, and sure works very fine for me.... But hey,, I wanted to know how to store the images in the PhoneBook,man,,, In order to show the face when a call comes in,,, Pls,, if anybody knows,, pls inform me....

Carphone Warehouse UK currently sell the phone for £179.99 on the Orange network. You can't go wrong with that.

Well you can get it from the Orange shop at 100 pounds but I wouldnt recommend it ... I have just got my replacement one as the first was constantly crashing and they called it a feature?!?! This one that I got yesterday looses connection to the network after about 2 minutes so it is going back tomorrow and for that reason I wouldnt say it was a bargin.
On the other hand The nokia 3200 has just gone down to 100 pounds so I would reccomend that phone! Cheak out carphone warehouse for more info ^_^ I hope that was helpful

On www.amazon.co.uk- this fone is fetching just over £100 but its fixed on Orange..... anyone else seen this????
yes, i ordered mine :)
i fell in love with this phone when i saw it, ive spoken to orange and they have it on payg for £100, but it is like gold dust, i went into a local town in to get the phone where they have 4 shops, only one was selected to sell the phone because of limited stock, and they were out! its only another month before they get more stock and the 7100 may or maynot be included!
