LOL!!! Your picture is also in the Russian Mobile Review News section. That's where they got it from. :D Look at the MR logo.

"It look pretty good to me, I love EDGE and the fake color external screen that we had talked about before. Good catch Mobile-Review.com, I wish my Russian was better so I could read the remainder of the article.

This just in: the screen is a fake, read the translation below

Here are two things on my mind about this image:

1. Who is "Rntal van wijk" or whoever the name is in the top right of the slide? Is this a designer that anyone has heard of before, does that line mean that this is a suggested form by a designer and not a pre-production piece?
2. This would appear to be a Motorola PowerPoint slide if I didn't know any better but who ends a PowerPoint slide in the corporate world with a ":-)"? It doesn't make any sense, the whole last line doesn't make any sense really, who wouldn't have looked, why does the author need to draw the attention and wink about it? Strange.

I think we could speculate on if this is just a Photoshop mock-up for ever, I wonder when it will ever end. The more I look at this image I can see where it could be a rendering but I could be real too. Who will ever know."

That's really funny man hahahaha. Goed gedaan mr. Van Wijk. ;)

Folks, here the translation from the mobile-review news section.. Sorry for the crap translation (done with a translation website)

Appeared the first information about future smartfone Motorola mpx220, and also one of the visitors of our forum politely granted the exclusive photo of this novelty. Since initial image possessed extremely poor quality, then it was necessary to conduct cosmetic cleaning, as a result of which the image of external screen was substituted to the image of a similar screen from Samsung p510. future smartfon will work under control Microsoft Smartphone 2003, have the built-in camera VGA- permission, internal TFT- screen with permission 165x220 of pikseley, IR and Bluetooth interfaces. It communicates about support GPRS Class 12. Apparatus will be equipped 32Mb SDRAM and 64Mb ROM, with joint miniUSB, to support three ranges of 900/1800/1900 networks GSM. the heart of smartfona will present processor TI 730, which works with the frequency of 200Mhz and the supporting collection of instructions ARM9. The approximate operating time in the standby mode - 150 it is hour, in the regime of the conversation of 4.5 hours. Supposedly apparatus will appear for the first time during April and the first time will be extended only in network Orange. During May mpx220 it will have to acquire wide accessibility, the cost of apparatus will compose 500-550 Euro-. I summarize preliminary information, it is possible to say that the basic differences mpx220 from the predecessor this presence Bluetooth, external color picture screen, the new indicators of call on the front panel

I've sent the people of mpx200.org an e-mail:

Dear mr. Murphy and mr. Flores of mpx200.org,

Browsing the internet searching for mpx-220 facts, I noticed something strange.. My picture of the mpx-220 on mpx200.org!! Suprised by this fact i have to set you right, this is not the real mpx-220. I am not a telephone-designer at Motorola, sadly enough. The picture which I made is fake and is not a PowerPoint slide. I just edited the mpx-200 in Paint Shop Pro 7 based on rumours (the motorola-logo i placed a bit higher and I've stolen the camera from the Sharp gx-20)

Believe me it was not my mention to confuse anyone, i've made the picture just as a indication based on rumours i've read. For myself and for others to look at, not meant to be a 'secret Powerpoint-sheet from Motorola' It is my impression of what the mpx-220 will look like (look at the topic thread)

The specifications of the device are true, it has bluetooth and an external color screen. I am almost sure that the mpx-220 wil have the same (black!) housing as the mpx-200.

If you don't believe me, here is my orginal thread on mobile-review.com:

Original picture without the Mobile-review logo (i uploaded it to my own ISP)

An older picture of mine. Also created with Paint Shop Pro 7.

Sorry again for the confusion. Good luck with your great website!

Greetings, Antal van Wijk (Cothen, The Netherlands)

P.s: My name is Antal van Wijk and not Rntal van Wijk :)
