it will be like a sheep stock sale to the english teams (and real madrid and barcalona).
about chelsea they are doomed of becoming like real madrid, to many stars very dissapointing games.
hopefully a bright seoson for the guners, with buffon rumoured coming...

On the English Premier League, I think it's going to be Arsenal or Chelsea.
If Mourinho can work out his squad well, now that it includes: Ballack, Shevchenko and possibly Ashley Cole(if they do get him in place of Del Horno), it'll be interesting to see how Mourinho handles such a star-studded team. When you have such high-profile players for such massive amounts, you need to make sure you're playing them well.
And Arsenal have shown alot of promise. Thiery Henry just keeps getting better and better with every season. Cesc Fabregas has completely erased memories of Viera. He was a star last season and plus the likes of Van Persie, Ljunberg, Rosicksy and the ever so consistent defence, Arsenal are in with a chance.
I would personally love to see Bayern Munich or Chelsea winning the Champions League this season. :D

buffon just revieled he is going to stay with juvi....no matter what, i really respect him for that, but he will have a troubling season, because all of the juvi defense are in spain now:eek: :spy: :eek:
about arsenal, they might have a chance if they bring one or two more players to the squad, coz most of the defenders are injured and rumours of A.Cole leaving might trouble the defence.
i am an arsenal supporter but i am quit disspointed by all the moving out and less moving in's..
Arsenal were in top gear towards the end of last season, they have a well balanced and talented squad,
Man U, have some great players, but are lacking defensively and i want to see them strenghthen in key areas before i put any money on them.
Chelsea are like Real Madrid, in that they have an overabundance of big name mediocre talent, good enough to grind out results against the likes of west brom etc, but against the big boys of europe they are sadly lacking.
Best all rounders are Liverpool, managed by a guy who is actually a decent human being!!

You'll be surprised how many good defenders you can find in Italy. Sure the best have left but I don't see it making any difference at all.

Arsenal will probably be a competitor to my favourite club in Croatia-Dinamo:cool: (8.8 or 9.8) in Zagreb. Unfortunately, Henry won`t play in that match:( . Still, it will be a very interesting match for our country (although we will lose:lol: )

I thought he did pretty well in the WC. Not anything out of the ordinary but decent. And plus, I think Mourinho will play Ballack very well. It depends alot on managers and by no means I think Klinsmann didn't use him well but Mourinho should work it out.
I'm really looking forward to see Joe Cole, Lampard and Ballack play side by side. Now these are three of the best in the world wearing the same shirt. This season is going to be awesome.
Also I'm really looking forward to see Carrick play for Man Utd and Bellamy for Liverpool.
This season the competition is gonna be really tough..all 4 teams (arsenal, chelsea,liverpool &man utd) has boosted their squads..hard to say whos gonna win this time but i think chelsea might do it again however im with arsenal all the way..with so many great players on each sides i guess the real winners are the fans:jump:

i am an arsenal fan myself ,but i don't have much faith in the team right now, with all the players signing out and only one coming in, i can't see how we compete for the title this year. True the players have improved indivdually, but as a team, we need some reinforcements.
We beat Italy last night with 2-0:eek: . What is more funnier is that they are actual world champions and more funnier is that we have so miserable representation. What a shame:lol: !

Did anybody watch the match between Argentina and Brazil last night? Brazil ripped Argentina apart and I loved Kaka's goal towards the end.
I expected better from Argentina, a tighter finish to be precise.
What was the score? I didn`t watched the match.
Brazil won 3-0, great start by England in the Euro qualifiers too, more of the same required on wednesday night!!

Yeah m.h, Croatia certainly deserved to win, England have been truly abysmal in the last 2 games, I was just getting over my depression before you reminded me!!:p :)
Let me start by saying: Martin O'Neills barmy army! :D
I've been to two home games this season, both winning against Newcastle and Charlton 2-0! Got to say it's a big difference from the last game I went to last season where we struggled to win 2-1 against Sunderland.
It seem's that MON is proving an absolute revelation for us, and who would expect anything less from the legend that is. Gabby Agbonlahor is coming of age too, I'd probably say he is one of the fastest in the premiership, probably faster than Lennon but not as quick as Walcott, would be a nice close contest between the three though!
I wanted to get away tickets to see us playing Leicester in the league cup but it sold out pretty much instantly, and after we were allocated another 900 seats they sold out too. Woulda been nice to see us ripping Leicester to shreds (sorry any Leic's fans! :p) and MON facing his old team, plus the Walkers stadium is a nice ground, been there twice before.
So.. in conclusion, hopefully we'll have a top 10 finish, maybe pushing for an intertoto cup place if we carry on with the ace form, that would be classic..
Chelsea will win the league again though, with United being the only real competitors for the title at the moment, give the Villa a couple of years with O'Neill and Lerner, and we'll back up in the top 3 ;) *cough*

I was down the Villa on saturday, was a bit of a disappointment, should of beat Fulham rather than drawing 1-1. :(

well done to my team for beating chelsea last night 2-1 :D what made me even happier was arsenel last to West Ham 1-0 lol. moved spurs up to 10th :) we are starting our way back up the table, thats 5 unbeaten games in a row now :)

It was kind of obvious Liverpool were the underdogs. A standing ovation for thier performance. Barca in crisis from the start of the season anyways.

The problem is with a side like Barca when your playing such fluid football and winning so many games after a while the hunger goes and anything acts like a catalyst in a bad way. I knew if anyone was capable otu formulating a plan to beat Barca its Rafa, after all he done it plenty of times with Valencia.
But its only half tim yet. We still have it all to do at Anfield. On a side not it was geat to see Momo back in action and he lasted the whole game!! Amazing that guy is a machine.

Listen Chelsea came along winning just one league title and 1 FA Cup in their entire history.
Barca have won the league as well as other domestic cups countless times. It is a mystery how they have only won 1 European cup but you cannot compare them with Chelsea.
And we are 3rd not 4th mate. Indeed the tie is 2 legs but at Anfield we have shown we can work wonders and i really want everyone to slag us of as we play best when we are the underdogs.
Arsenal have a game in hand on you Bav :) , Im judgeing things HISTORICALY btw, Barca,s record is poor compared to many other teams, Liverpools performances in the champions league recently far outweigh there domestic cup and league form.
But that's a sign of greatness IMO.

it is poor only compared to Real , Milan and Liverpool but not compared to others, but they won the champions league twice and they have also won all the other european cups... thats hardly a poor record. Plus look at how many finals and semifinals they have played...
The "other" European cups, are just for losers anyway, In fact the PROPER european cup was a damned sight tougher to win BEFORE it turned into the champions league which is primarily a revenue generating exercise.
Lots of teams have won it twice actually.

true but they have also played 3 finals and a number of times in semi finals. And also the other cups used to have tougher teams before the current format of Champions Leagues has started which i also think it is primarily a revenue generating exercise.

Actually when you play us we will be wearing red. Utd will probabaly wear white or whatever their away strip is.
It will be a tough game but Utd wont have it easy. You left it on a fine edge against Fulham. A bit of luck combined with some poor finishing save you from letting in 3 or 4 goals.

With Liverpool beating barca mid week and with their win yesterday will have a good advantage and coming into the game will have confidence, it won't be easy but I reckon if we(MUFC) have the right players out they will do the job... I reckon 2-1 united

And yes, Liverpool seems to be strong this year. They proved, that whoever plays in first team, they are going to win anyway(during last game, 7 of those guys who beat Barcelona, were resting and there were mostly their substitues on the field).

I call for a Chelsea - Milan UCL final.
I can imagine Chelsea beating Valencia and Liverpool crushing PSV. Although, United-Roma should be tricky and so will Milan-Bayern.
I think a Champions League triumph will sum up Chelsea for character and ability. The kind of season we've had, with Joe Cole and Terry being injured for so long, Ballack and Shevchenko unable to hit top form and Lampard taking time to get over his World Cup failures, winning the CL will mean alot to Mourinho and all us fans.

I have to admit Man Utd look shockingly sharp even without key players like Scholes, Saha and Neville. But one comfort I will take is that we know they are prone to slip ups as we saw against Portsmouth.
I honestly dont want them should we get to the final (i shouldnt talk that really as if were there but.....) as they have been a bogey team for us this year always just jamming past us.
But that could work as an omen for us.
And there is always the fact that when we wont it in 2005 out last game was against Greek opposition and the final was in Turkey.
This time our last game was against Turkish opposition and the final is in Greece...Spooky eh????
