i can argue that australia has the hottest chicks in the world except for maybe brazil :D :D :D
Australian girls are certainly one of the easiest, one of the quickest to say yes to anything....
I'm from Russia, Moscow :) :)
It's my lovely city in the world :)
If U want I can put photos of Moscow here :)

DUNGA
its good isnt it :D :p
Its alright I suppose as long as Australian girlfriends stay loyal to their boyfriends. :D
Maybe we should list the countries with easiest to get girls to most difficultly accessible. ;-)
o.k. i'm in,
in ISRAEL it's very easy to get a girl but the ones that are easy to get are ugly! the good ones are usually religous (jewish) and they dont touch boys (literally) untill they're married (and then they can only touch their husband and children),
life's ironic....
and in israel to be in the army is an obligation (you're forced to be a soldier for at least three years) and all the girls who come to the army are begging to be.... (girls don't have to do army, they can do social services)
-The Andyman-
08-12-2003, 12:35
girls in australia r easy to get as long as u know wat 2 say ;)
You mean if you know which phone to use when you're with them?
Don't point a Z600 at a girl, its very rude. :D
-The Andyman-
08-12-2003, 12:53
lol @dunga
australian girls dont care wat fone u have its wat car u have ;)
Australia is a big place, a car is mandatory there I think... It depends on the country, I personally think it is almost pointless to own a car in such a tiny country like Belgium.
cool cars are cool no matter where you are! but cool motorcycles are the best!
-The Andyman-
08-12-2003, 13:09
in sydney and melbourne and every other major city u can get around without a car but everywhere else its nearly impossible,a car is essential if u r nearly 17 and looking 2 pick up chicks :p ;)
you can ride you bicycle through israel in two days...
but cars are still essential,
To maintain a good looking car in Belgium would cost far too much money, Dubai is probably my only chance to drive a race car in future due to car maintenance there.
-The Andyman-

DUNGA
wat do u mean???
insurance? petrol? registration?
All of that Andyman, in Germany the insurance is MUCH cheaper than what we have here in Belgium... Even though their fuel prices are slightly more expensive but that is just a very legitimate difference.
If I'm not mistaken. if you drive a car with a really strong engine say a Corvette V8, you will pay dramatically less in Germany for what you pay in Belgium for that. So race car wise there is a huge difference, but also with normal cars....
That is why in Belgium all you see is small tiny cars, driving around... Once you cross the border to Koln, you notice all the new big Mercedes and rather upper class cars... Most importantly the Germans take much better care of their cars than the Belgians, thats the most truthful comparison.
Second of all, parking space is horrible in Belgium, another reason not to buy a car, since we do have one of the best public transport systems in Europe.
-The Andyman-
10-12-2003, 11:10
how much is petrold over there??
its 80c a litre here...its heaps expensive
As you see its a little less than a Euro..... I won't say in dollars because tomorrow it might become a 1 euro to 4 dollar ratio. :D
Did Saliquincer vote for being from outer space? *grins*

I'm from sunny Singapore.:)
Just got back from a 10-day trip in Germany, Austria and Hungary. Very very nice, cold and different from S'pore, and it was fun to see all the great cars that you don't see here, but I still appreciate what my country has to offer.:)
By the way, can anyone from Europe tell me why everyone buys sparkling water and not normal mineral water?
Ghibli
i'm from singapore, but have lived in germany for nine years.
i have no idea about that too.. but i know that mineral water is expensive over there...
didn't you go to prague in czech republic, that's my fav place in europe.
Welcome back Ghibli,
Which cities did you go to in Germany and Austria?
I hate sparkling water, it tastes completely horrible..... My Austrian friend drinks it sometimes... So I guess there are a few Europeans out there who do drink this stuff. :D
Oh. Well, I was in a Viennese supermarket and every single bottle of mineral water on sale was sparkling.
I went to Frankfurt(only in transit), Wurzburg, Nurmburg, Vienna, Budapest, Salzburg(my favourite) and Munich.
The Austrian cities were the most beautiful IMHO, but I stayed in Budapest the longest(4 days).
It was for a school choir trip.:)
hahaha Ghibli sings in a choir because of the 'chix'. :D
-The Andyman-

Ghibli
i was just about 2 PM u about where u have been,lol
welcome back
wats with this sparkling water,y dont ppl just drink bottled water like straight from a spring like over here in oz????
Andyman, I can't describe how hurrendous it is to open a bottle of water and drink it, then realize it is sparkling water going down my throat. What happened to pure drinking water?
Ghibli, I will probably make an Austrian trip next year, so I will let you know what I think also. I usually go to Cologne to club on weekends, one of the best cities to party in Europe.
DUNGA
It's an all-guys choir.:D
But the same thing happened to me, I bought a bottle of mineral water thinking it was normal, because I can't read German, and was shocked to hear the gas escaping as I opened it. Truly unpleasant.
Cologne is in Germany, correct? So it must be near Belgium, the western part of Germany, I went to the east.
But I was really, really disappointed to find that it was not snowing anywhere, just a little in Salzburg but only leftover snow.:(
Also something else I noticed in Austria was the presence of 3G and I-mode. I had previously not seen a 3G phone in the flesh, but I managed to catch a glimpse of an NEC e606 in a store, and there were 3G posters in stores and I-mode TV ads.:)
I mode ads in Germany or Austria, can you confirm if there is I mode in Austria, yes the 3G phones are great(but they are still bricks) I checked them out in Italy.... Yes Cologne is in Germany very close to Belgium....
I hope it will snow in Belgium this weekend because the famous ex-German city of Leuven is having their official christmas market(very cultural). The world famous christmas market in Cologne is too commercial...
Oh yes the Christmas markets I loved those, we went to one in every city. Another good thing about Germany, Hungary and Austria is the lack of age-restrictions on alcohol, so I got to enjoy lots of Gluwein.:D
I saw the I-mode TV ad in Austria, but too bad it was in German cause I still don't understand fully what I-mode offers. But it doesn't matter since there won't be any in Singapore.:(
Must have been a German channel, I really doubt that I mode is available in Austria, the official Ntt docomo Japanese administration does not mention it. They have 3G anyways so they don't really need it, just like England but still 3G is expensive.
At the christmas markets, I agree Gl?hwein(official spelling) is the thing to drink mostly when it is cold, but there are Jagermeister, Bombardo, Filliers, Schnapps.... Great Frankfurt sausages, cultural pancakes... so many things... Christmas activities and lots of souvenir shops, the best part is the atmosphere, it is simply wonderful... Brussels has the worst Christmas market I have ever seen.... No idea why, I can't explain it.... So I go to Leuven every christmas market year..
I wonder how Taiwan got hold of the I mode system, quite surprised that Korea doesn't use such a brilliant system.... Its a shame that Singapore doesn't use it, I think it would work very well there.

In the regions that are far from the center, it's less expensive, but the quality is worse too.

I heard japan is also doing a similar project, so as korea is. (a year before, in South korea, was illegal to build a building higher than 200m in Seoul, because of the threat of North Korea. Now they are planning to make the tallest building by 2008)
I think Australia can do it. Because Australia is pretty good at those stuff, especially Australia is the world's larger steel exporter!
Dubai? lol ive never even heard of that?
How tall are the ones in japan and korea going to be? i rekon it would be kool as to be able to build something soo tall. I watched something on discovery channel on some pyramid thingy in tokyo??? looks really kool! its like the size of, ummmmmm, a real pyramid, prob bigger! looks a fair way off tho

Hi! Taipei 101is the highest building right now. and it is already completed. However, as long as i know taiwan has no further plan of building such high skyscraper.
However, Taipei101 will not be able to keep its #1, because there will be 140 floor building in DMC, Korea, replacing it at 2008, and 118 in Pusan, Korea in 2007. I believe for a while it will be hard to see higher building than this, unless the Tokyo 1000m building starts, which is kind of negative in stagmatation in Japna

Yes this is the building... the photo was taken from another tall building The Menara Tower which is 421m tall but it looks as tall as The Petronas Twin Towers if you see these two buldings from distance because Menara Tower is situated on a small hill.
I've been to the Petronas Towers. Nothing really special, they're only 88 stories tall yet are the world's tallest because of the giant 'spike' on top of each building.

KLCC is not the biggest shopping mall in KL but still it is very biig and we do not even have a shopping mall half of its size here in Sweden :(
I also like KLIA very much...
Changi felt big but old however I like it alot
:)

Changi's okay for me, nothing special, I don't know why everyone raves about it.
My favourite is Osaka's Kansai airport.:) Munich's airport is very nice too.

And if u read correctly, u will find out that the project was planned in the '80s and is on hold since than. No country or bulk of private investores will give money for a project like this.
This will never happen... still a dream.

i don't know about the most advanced... it looks clean. I've been to tokyo when I was young and frequently, and it was clean. other than that, it was very similar to seoul. i believe the skyscrapers in tokyo is not that many because of the earth quakes.

I've been to most major cities in the world. Including, London, Paris, Rome, New York, Los Angeles, Bangkok, Shanghai, and Soeul.
The sheer size of Tokyo is mind blowing. You can probably fit London, Paris and Rome in Tokyo alone.
Tokyo IS the most advanced city. I would urge you to visit it today. There are no other cities on this planet of such a population with a living standard of over $55000 per capita. In terms of high-rise buildings there are government limits of 300m but the number of skycrapers in between 150m and 300m are mind blowingly numerous. Perhaps the reason why you say so is because unlike other cities with one high-rise areas (i.e N.Y -> Manhattan) Tokyo has several...
Tokyo has 47 skyscrapers above 150meters, while seoul has 19...
I've never been to Tokyo, but I've visited Osaka and it's really very modern. Plenty of skyscrapers, but I liked the other attractions more like the giant aquarium, etc.

revaddict I am sorry to say that I went there last vacation and I go there many times. I think you are being emotional about commenting of seoul. I just said they resemble but not that Seoul is better. In fact, Seoul has much stricker restriction not to buildup higher than 250m and not to build up nearby any other skyscrapers. This is solely because of the threat of North Korea, which is closer than 100km from the border. This is very unfortunate. And I think Osaka has better view. If you talk about high-rise skyscraper districts, Seoul has alot too. I understand that Japan lives well and very wealthier than Korea. But maybe not for each city. Living in Seoul cost as much as Tokyo and the land fee is known to be THE most expansive after New York Manhatten Avenue. In Korea many economic source is extremely concentrate in this single city, and 1/4 of the citizens lives in this city. (75% lives in the satelite cities nearby Seoul. Satelite city means a city mainly for living not for business subjected to a big city)
I am not sure of what you are talking about the most advanced. In terms of Information techs, Seoul is the most advanced. And this can be justified by many figures of Broadband penetration. The most digitally wired society ever existed. (Seoul is 4 times more highspeed broadband than Tokyo with faster broadbands.)
In terms of skyscrapper of course Tokyo is alot better. I think it is silly to say that something is just best because of one thing you see.
But the average skyline is higher for Seoul, because of the damn apartments. I am not trying to say that Seoul is best. But rather, more self-reflective that it is unfortunate for seoul to have skylines of mostly high-rise apartments rather than business buildings. Although there will be the largest economic sector built nearby Seoul(More than 100 skyscrapers are being built up).
Also, skyscrapper is just nothing more than illusion. Making a skyscrapper is not a big deal, once you can use the money. Seoul has such money, but the restriction is so harsh to do so. The US army presence in Seoul and the North Korean Threate are the contribution not the economy of Seoul. I am confident that you never been to Seoul. Once you go there, it is very similar to Tokyo. I didn't say Seoul is better in everything. But at least similar. Although Seoul looks a bit not cleaner than Tokyo, Seoul is indeed a very clean and modern metropolitan compared to New York (I am in NY right now. It sucks so dirty. Sorry for New Yorkers, but i am also a new yorker :()
please don't underestimate some cities. They have prides as I do for Seoulites. New Yorkers have pride for Manhatten, as Japanese have pride for Tokyo. It was lengthy. Tokyo is one of the most advanced city! But seoul also falls in to that category.
BTW, for living standards, Tokyo is not alot expansive compared to that of Seoul, rather similar. Living standard in Seoul is the second most expansive place to live, along with Tokyo followed New York city.
I understand that Tkyo used to be the most expansive place during the 80's and the bigging of 90's. But as the bubble economy in Japan bloomed, it turned out to lower the GDP/capita in tokyo.
lastly again, I liked Tokyo, and I visited there nearly every two years during my life.
I don't want to have biased image of peoples in Tokyo being definitive and being black or white. And since i love that city as well as Seoul, I hope you don't be definitive of everything of Tokyo. Tokyo is the ONE of the BEST advanced city, not the only one in the world.
Thanks :D
p.s>I will not reply anymore of this subject, and i feel this is such a out-of topic. Hope you understand my opinion. But i will like to accept any friendly messege through e-mail. kyoung114@hanmail.net
BTW, the last previous comment that tokyo doesn't have many skyscrapers were not comparing Seoul and Tokyo. I am just saying that compared to the second largest economy in the world, the reason that Tokyo doesn't have that many skyscrapers is simply because of the restriction, not the techs.
I was rather defending Tokyo in comparison to Manhatten or Hong kong.
Bye.

I don't know why you felt my reply was emotional. I was actually being quite objective. I am aware that the cost of life in Seoul is not that different from Tokyo. I also know that they may feel somewhat similar. Even the car liscence plates and road signs are the same (cept for the language).
However, the Sheer Size of Tokyo is another matter. Also GDP capita figures for Tokyo are much higher that of Seoul or Hongkong (which was primarily built by western hands unlike Tokyo and Seoul)...

The Olympic games in Athens will be so much more nicer, better and 'magical' than Sydney's (and any other games). The circle is now complete...It once started in Greece and now it has finally returned to Greece. Athens WILL be be best olympic games ever. Greece cannot fail this one, it is too important for them.
Oh... btw, im going to Athens with my girlfirend to watch the Olympic games in August... gonna see mens 100m final and some other interesting events :P
