is it possible to get a higher screen resolution than 65,536 colours?
i just want to know because, i have heard that this isnt the highest resolution.

it's is possible but you can hardly see a difference in a small screen like those found in mobile screen....

In Japan and over there it is rather normal with 262,000 colours... The first here in Europe (or so I think) with 262,000 colours will be LG G7200... LG Nordic has announced its arrival in January 2004...

Mitsubishi M341i is out in France and Holland already and it has a 262k screen. Wake up people. :D

Well the best screen is 16 million colours, it's a casio phone A5401CA it's only for japan......

oh and btw there isn't a big difference from 65k up, because of the small screen. You can try it, take a 320*240 pic and change the settings on your pc to 16bit, look at the pic, than change the settings back to 32bit and you will see that it isn't a big difference, so I'm not so thrilled about it

The A5302A, 5401CA, A5401CA II and the new A5403CA by Casio all have 1.5 million colour CF displays, not 16 million.
As the Sharp GX20 has shown Europe, 65k/262k doesnt matter as much as a high res (240x320) to make pictures look much sharper on the screen of the handset.

umm i have found at least 20 english sites that say it has 16 million colours and I've read it in some magazines too, but i cant read japanese so i believe myself :D

I just believe that X70 is the best phone ever made. The phones in Japan are not as stylish. :D

So you can read japanese? if so i believe you, because i can't and i didn't have a clue what it says on their own page, but try a google search and you will that on almost every page it says 16 million fine crystal display, and if i'm correct isn't the offical suplier of this phones kddi and if so it's on their page that it has 16 million, again i can be wrong because i don't have a clue about japanes language it's really a pain in the ass :D

yeah i've read it's 15.68 million
