View Full Version : Something weird is going on with the V525
In Australia, Vodafone updated their site early novemeber to include the V525 as being one of their live handsets. Not one of the stores I have contacted have been able to give any accurate details of a release, until the begining of this week, where they indicated it would be out in the middle of the week. Then the end of the week.. now the begining of next week in limited numbers! (some stores will only have 8 handsets)..
Now I just checked on the Vodafone website and they have removed the V525 from their list of Live! handsets! What the f**k is going on?
Man, I just called Vodafone, to get an idea of when they are expecting the phone. They said there is a very slim chance they will get them tomorrow. But apparently the supplier has told them that they will be lucky to get 8 handsets in total before christmas.
WTF are they playing at? This isn't even the V600, we are talking about the V525 which is available pretty much everywhere.
Anyway if it doesn't come in tomorrow, I guess Motorola wont be seeing my cash.

The thing about V300, V500, V600 is that Moto have not the capacity to make enough hansets for the market. We have to wait for them... if you can.... maby I can....:insane:
A couple of months ago, after Motorola was losing market share I said that their new handsets will make a big difference very soon. But this is looking less likely, and we are seeing why they are going down.
Yeah, I think it is going to definitely be the waiting game. There are only two or three phones out in Australia with specs that come anywhere near these phones. The others are the SE Z600 and the Samsung E700, but only the SE phone is available on a plan through Vodafone, so choices are so goddam limited.
