I browsed the Russian part of Mobile-Review when I found the following article where Eldar speaks about SE SO505i:

http://mobile-review.com/exhibition/sonyworld03.shtml

At the end of the article Eldar wrote:
? ??? ??????????? ?????? ? 1.3 ??????????? ????? ?? ????? ?????????????? ? ????? ??????? ????????, ??????? ???????? ?????? ?????????? ???? ??? ?? ?????????. ? ????? ???????, ??????????? ????? ???????? ??? GSM-????? ????? ??? ????? ???????? ? ??????, ?? ??? ????????? ?????? ? ? ??????????? ???????. I translated it in English with an online translator...
In it the chamber in 1.3 Megapixels same will be established to be present at new models of the company which will appear in the spring of the next year already on counters. By the way, updating of this device for GSM-networks has all chances will appear in Europe, but already next autumn and with the updated iron. :p

The great digital zoom war is about to begin...
Sony Ericsson SO505i has digital 16x zoom and it does look like a digital camera as Kiansom said.

Probably going to be an I mode phone 3Q of 2004.... It will be a pretty exciting year, with 1.3 mega pixels and SD slots starting to pop in the clamshells of various manufacturers....
