View Full Version : Nokia 6270 memory card problem
Last couple of days a memory card keeps disappearing from the gallery. That happens about few times a day and to get it back I have to take a card out and put it back or restart the phone.
Does anyone else have similar problem and is that "normal"? Is it maybe just a software bug?
Had my 6270 for over a month now and never had a memory card issue.
my 6270 keeps restarting all the time and sometimes it shuts off I'm really pissed about it I bought my 6270 in San Diego, California where I live. And I boit from a n Asian phone store that carries over seas phones. I've read a few people are having the same problems restarting all the time. I'm ready to throw this phone out the window. rrrrr I know about the software issue. I dont want to have to send this thing to Asia for firmware upgrade. It would take 2 months or more. Can anyone help me out here. Please let me know.

i have no memory card issue i have a 512mb card (asian model), it is a kingston, and works fine.

Hey, new to this forum because of this problem and wanted to see if anyone else had the same kind of thing happening. Got my answer :)
So yea, same problem. 128mb card (came with the phone) keeps disappearing, mainly when ive had it pluged into my computer and uploaded it with mp3's or new pictures. Then i have to take out and put back in the card or restart the phone to see the card again. Also, sometime it freezes no buttons work then the screen goes black and restarts. Anyone else have any info on it? Shall i return the phone or is it fixable? thanks, Kris.

Maybe you might have over time, how long have you had it kazoo? you never know it might just start happening...

the contact between the memory card and the slot in the phone might be loosening or there is dust accumulation thats why there is an intermitent problems with the memory card.

If tis is the problem just use a soft eraser and clean the gold contacts works for me when i was using 6230 n having problem wif the mmc not detected in phone cheap n effective.

I have nokia 6280 and bought NCP 512MB card. I also tried to set password for it and after that the memory card is just not appearing. I restarted the phone, removed the battery and plugged it again. But no use. Please some one can give me solution for this.

Did you manage to sort this out as i have just done the same thing and copme accross the same problem!! Its very frustrsting. My card reader in my PC will not even recognise the SD card now and I have used this built in card reader before to manage the files on my SD card, Please can someone help or advise accordingly? Much appreciated.
