I made what I'd like to think was a friendly and helpful contribution to this thread (http://www.mobile-review.com/forum2/showthread.php?t=33729), now it's gone. What's up with that? It's not the first time it's happened either, if a moderator deleted it I'd like to know why.
If this is again the case of a moderator accidentally deleting the post along with some other offensive post by forgetting to mark it for keeping, I'd like to suggest the mods stopped the practise of deleting posts. Why not just edit the offensive posts out while also stating the reasons for the action?
Posts just disappearing leave threads incoherent, their authors puzzled as to what rule they broke and the acting mod in the shadows, unreachable for discussion and free to abuse his or her powers if you will. Not to forget it entails the apparently quite large risk of valid posts disappearing along with the bad ones.
